@chiefwiggum16: A company can call a bicycle a car but it is still a bicycle.

Nintendo can say whatever they want but this is a handheld with a dock. Period.

I hope the Switch will not be included in console sales comparisons by the various groups who track sales. We have the PS4, XBox One, and Wii U. I'm sure the Wii U will disappear soon though since Nintendo thinks this is its replacement. So basically the PS4 and XBox One. Nintendo isn't a console manufacturer anymore. They now have two handhelds.

So please GS, stop calling the Switch a console. Don't play Nintendo's game.

I'm sure most people don't but I do. Unless it is a multiplayer game and I have to buy around which system my friends are playing on, I buy for whichever system is superior, usually. The main reason I own both a 360 and a PS3 isn't so I can choose the best version though, it's because of the exclusives each has to offer.

I only own a Xbox One for the current gen but I plan to buy a PS4 in the next six months. If the PS4 is anything like previous Playstations, then there is going to be a plethora of exclusive JRPGs to look forward to. Luckily, I'm already equipped for my Forza and Halo fix.

Although I value gameplay over graphics, that point is completely irrelevant within the scope of our conversation. We are talking about the same title on three different systems, not comparing titles. Why would I not buy the superior version of a game when I own more than one system it can be played on?

Even though graphics are not the most important aspect of a game, I still want them to look as good as possible for the respective title. Even if I picked the inferior version of a game, I would still have fun with it. But why would I do that? Why would anyone buy the inferior version of something when they have a choice?

Oh, please explain to me what a "real" gamer is.

Did you ever think that maybe some people actually own more than one console and want to make sure they get the best version? I don't own a PS4 (yet), just an Xbox One but I do own both a PS3 and 360 and whenever I buy a game that's on both consoles, I seek out comparisons such as this. If I'm spending $60 (hell even if I'm only spending $10), I want to make sure I get the most bang for my buck.

I'm a little sad to find out I'm not a "real" gamer because I am nitpicking minor details. I guess I need to either blindly buy or become a fan boy and stick to only one console if I want to be a "real" gamer.
