Without a doubt Sony will incorporate backward compatibility for both PS2 and PS3 titles as they missed quite a bit of market share with regards to Sony's selfish decision to not add PS2 backward compatibility to their arsenal. Apparently Sony is, rather than using HW, working on an emulator to handle the PS2 side of the fence making it cheaper to produce (obviously). PS3 will again be using Blu-Ray as their Drive of choice, for obvious reasons. Sony will be indeed be looking at adding PS2 titles to their PSN library and will most likely not allow your owned PS2 disc to run. If you do own an original copy of the game they may offer discount on your online purchase. The console king (personal opinion led by actual facts:) will also be drastically improving on its online features and experience as a whole. Of course, if none of this is true, Sony will have a hard time winning over the lost and strayed Xbox users (joking) or hooking in newer unfamiliar civilians that stand nowhere in the console debate. Sony need to bring out all the guns with their next console to dominate any portions of the market as well as to WOW consumers in their inevitable evolution.
