I actually looked at the Cowon, but haven't used it myself at all. How is the interface?

Absolutely amazing. Besides the iPod's best I've used. If you want the super simple an ape could use it, go with an iPod. I highly recommend the A2 though.

Yeah, that's kinda why I wanted the iPod because I really like the interface and I love the scroll wheel, but iTunes and the sluggishness I've heard about turned me off a little.

So, I've been happy with my Sansa e250...until the screen got cracked and it became unusable a couple of days ago. I've been researching players and I'm down to the Zune or the 80gb iPod. I was leaning toward the iPod, but I've read that it is clunky and slower than the previous generations. I haven't heard much that turns me off from the Zune, but I know that it's bigger and has a smaller capacity, although it is much cheaper, and capacity isn't a huge deal as long as I've got more than 20 gigs to work with. I also don't use iTunes, so I'd need to download that, but can anyone give me any other thoughts about the two?

So...I've had a sansa e250 since last year, and I need to get a new music player because my sansa's screen was crushed, and I can no longer see anything...:(. Video isn't a big deal for me because I have a PSP, and I usually just listened to music anyway on the bus or on the way to school. I thought about an iPod, but do I have to use iTunes? I don't really like iTunes for music management. I kinda want something like the e250 where I can just drag and drop music files. I thought about a Zune because it's pretty cheap, and I want something that has the dial on it because click navigation seems kinda slow. Anyway, if anyone's got any opinions, I'd appreciate hearing about them. Oh, and I've got about 200-250 to spend.

Okay, that helps. Brave Story or Monster Hunter Freedom look good for a start, and by the time I'm done with that the other games should be a bit cheaper anyway.

I've only played Valkyrie Profile thus far (it was okay), but I want to buy a more traditional RPG. I was thinking about Breath of Fire 3, but it would be 30 to bring over, and I played it for the PS (albeit a long time ago). I've also thought about Legend of Heroes because it is less than $20, but I'm having a little trouble deciding on a good pick. Something cheaper would be great, but if Legend of Heroes and Popolocrois truly suck, I'm willing to spend 15 more to get a really good game.

I think once you start asking yourself this question your turning playing video games into something it really shouldn't be, an investment (which lately it seems to be becoming with all the "extras"). If you're gonna sit around checking and comparing various companies stock prices and sales figures in an attempt to peer into the future to see if it is a flop or not, you're losing that key component in video games that surpasses all...having a good time.YourLastDay86

For sure. Just play whatever is fun. I played my PS2 a ton during the last generation, and I play my 360 more than anything right now because I like the games on it. It's all about what brings about the most enjoyment to you. The Wii is selling a ton everwhere, but I still haven't bought one because I'm not interested in as many of the games. It's not about sales, but what you find worth your time. Whether it be Xbox, Wii, or a PS3 (or even an n-gage...well maybe we shouldn't go too far).
