Super Paper Mario, my least favourite game in the Paper Mario series, was the game that I played the most of any Wii game besides Super Smash Bros. I preordered this game a couple months ago because I knew I would get it no matter the reviews scores. This game is one of the main reasons why I got a 3DS, and I know it will be an awesome experience for me no matter what reviewers say about. My opinion is that "Getting stuck" is the whole point of Paper Mario games. That was what made me love playing every game in the series, and it seems like it's only now that it's being used as a negative. We need more challenging hardcore (not just Gory but truly hardcore) games on the 3ds, and this game does it well. My suggestion is that people remember how they felt playing the older games, and remember how challenging they were. The game difficulty hasn't changed, but the skill level of most game reviews has significantly gone down (like the rest of the gaming industry). So my suggestion is that if you have a 3DS, BUY THIS GAME! If you are a hardcore gamer, you won't regret it.

The comments section makes me disappointed in the future of games. If people won't even understand why games like mario continue to outsell ultra violent games, it is because they have grown so accustomed to ultra-violence in video games that they forget that violence and sex are 2 of the millions of types of themes people can create in video games. He is not saying viloence is bad; he is saying that it is used without any meaning or purpose. It is that meaningless violence he is criticizing. As a future game developer who intends to make games based on a similar philosophy, I whole-heartedly agree with him. I wish more game developers would be willing to take his advice before gaming has another crash and we see the death of AAA games in exchange for download-only games filling the void.

i was sold on 3d when i saw the pixar short Day and Night before toy story 3 in 3d. For games that aren't designed for 3d, i'm probably not going to be that interested. however for games and movies that were created specifically for 3d like day and night was, i feel 3d can make an impact on the art aspect of the game and potentially the gameplay too if people design gameplay mechanics around 3d. I will be getting a 3ds more for the games that were shown, but i'm interested in what devs will do with 3d. Also When i finally save up the money to get a gaming pc, i might get either the nvidia glasses, or (if the price is right) the 3d glasses-free monitors that were announced a little while ago.
