Not to be an asshole or anything, but I'm a little confused why BF4 "only" got an 8 (it's still a great score), while BF3 got an 8.5, despite BF4 being a massive improvement in pretty much every single aspect (speaking strictly objectively) + the support from the devs in the form of taking community feedback has been greater as well, not to mention the massive improvement of spectator mode giving the game a greater focus on competitive gaming.
My biggest gripe with this review (at least the video review, I'm too lazy to sit down and read it >.>) was the focus on the campaign. The Battlefield franchise (and tactical shooters in general) are multiplayer games and should really be treated as such.
Oh, well. I know from my own experiences with the beta, BF4 was a more fun game, Siege of Shanghai is a fantastic map and from what I've heard BF youtubers say, the new maps are all fantastic. You no longer have maps that are just bad all and end up in baseraping 90% of the time (see: Grand Bazaar, Metro, Tehran Highway).
But I can't be too harsh on the Chris because I'm fairly sure he doesn't play BF games too much, I mean, he's probably got a shitload lot of other things to do on the site.
I noticed a huge difference between the 30 and 60 FPS examples, I also noticed a huge difference when I first saw a video here on GS with the new fancy 60 FPS system.
While 30 FPS is obviously playable, it really isn't that enjoyable, even though you will eventually get used to the lower framerate. 60+ FPS really is the way to go.
I'd also love to see a 48 FPS version of The Hobbit compared to a 24 FPS version.
I wasn't planning to get this on release any way since you know...Battlefield 4 is coming out in about 10 days.
It's good of Ubisoft to actually go out and say "hey...we need more time". 100% respect that and I wouldn't want them to rush the game and it feel lackluster.
On a side note, have you changed something with your video player? Seems to have gone from 24/30 FPS to 48/60 FPS? Looks smooth as ****, that's for sure.
@dlm93 That would be absolutely incredible. I'd LOVE a difficulty option, and also being able to have more than one save slot would just be absolutely fantastic.
That being said, Pokemon X/Y is the one game that tempts me to get a 3DS. :P
@sina_the_legend It should be able to. I'm using a program called "Motion in joy" (just google motion in joy download, it should be on of the top finds). It's a simple program that allows you to emulate the Xbox 360 controller or simply use your PS2, PS3 whatever controller on the PC.
I use this program with my PS3 controller to emulate a 360 controller so I can use the PS3 controller to play Skyrim on my PC.
I definitely recommend checking it out as it should work.
