I honestly don't know how you assign a numerical score to Minecraft, but uh, there you go?

It was just a Rock reference, dude. Why you gotta be so mean? I thought we were bros. :(

Someone has to make sure you don't get a big(ger) head, what with all the impressionable newer users around here who wouldn't know quality trolling if it bit them in the ass. :P

But the difference is the Fire is more of a proper fork (to the point where you're hard pressed to get Amazon to so much as mention the word Android when talking about the Fire) than the usual "let's slap a custom UI on this and call it a day".

If we were talking about something like TouchWiz or Motoblur then yeah, I would absolutely agree it has the potential to poison the well, but the Fire is so far removed from proper Android that I don't see how someone can be informed/savvy enough to say "this is running Android..." but not informed/savvy enough to say "...but it's not 'real' Android".

The reviews have been poor. Some go as far as to say it reflects badly on Android as an operating system. I wouldn't recommend spending money on it. Just look around at reviews, it's pretty clear.musicalmac

Lulz. The Fire runs an Amazon-developed custom version of Android; to say it reflects poorly on Android-in-general would be like saying Hackintoshes reflect poorly on Apple. Something something mac fanboys.

I'll tentatively say Skyrim (because playing as a combo thief/mage makes for some wonky levelling, so I probably just need to try some different quest lines). For all the improvements Bethesda made, sweet jebus does the get quest->find dungeon->biff faceless, nameless enemies->lather->rinse->repeat formula get tired fast.

I say AA, if only because I'm 83% sure Nintendo forgot to change the placeholder name. Mario Kart 7? Really?

Good ol' Climategate: the incident so damning three separate independent reviews found the research to be both robust and above-board.

To moneymatterz:

You sir have NO idea what you're talking about. Serving is a dirty, tiring, and difficult job. Customers are demanding and often rude, most (like you) having absolutely no idea what it actually takes to do the job, how many things you must keep track of, and how physically tiring it is. I have been a Chef for 14 years and I for one applaud the waitresses, it's dirty job, but someone has to do it.

Also in some places (like here in Canada) wait staff is allowed to be paid less than minimum wage because it is assumed they will make tips. Without those tips, it is not worth it to do the job, and these people make next to nothing. Even at minimum wage it is hard to live.

So tip your server people.

DarthSatan

Obviously fake post, as any self respecting chef has nothing but contempt for the wait staff. :P

Anyway, yeah, what a bunch of a******s. As others have said the standards in North America are that the bulk of the wait staff's pay is made up of tips, and it really is a tough, s***ty job at the best of times.

Any predictions on pricing and performance increase over SB yet? I was just about to finally upgrade from my c2q q9550, I am literally going to go buy z68/ddr3/2500k tomorrow, but will Ivy bridge be enough of an improvement over SB to wait? I doubt I won't burn through the money wating till April though...

Also, as I haven't been really keeping track of things in hardware for a while, will Ivy Bridge be 1155 or will Intel shove a new socket down our throats again?

QQabitmoar

Ivy's 1155, and most guesses put the performance increase over SNB at ~5-10% (although it should have significantly more OC'ing headroom). Definitely not worth waiting for.
