I don't know about everybody else, but the reason I like the HD collections they're coming out with now is because I didn't have a PS2 so I missed a ton of great series. The collections make it very easy to get to play the ones that I missed. I usually don't want remakes of games I've already played...but that might just be me :P
I don't see how a simple name change and it not being sold on military bases makes the game automatically suck...however, CoD is really looking to be a good game so it has a lot of competition to live up to.
Well I never had a PS2 therefore I never had any PS2 games. The collections make it very easy and convenient for me to play old games that I missed. I'm not really mad about anything :)
Same with Final Fantasy XIII once you get over the jaw dropping graphics. You see the game for what it is. ALL LINEAR.

Disagree 100%, I still played the *BLEEP* outta that game till I platinumed it. Plus, most games are linear, something many tend to not understand.
I think the reason many people are pointing out FF13's linearity is because it is basically just one long hallway per level. Many many games are very linear in the form that you have to get from point A to point B and kill everything inbetween, but FF13 just has very boring level design that makes people realize "I've been walking down this stupid narrow passage for 20 minutes now." Other games at least get creative in their level design and that's what makes the games good. The original Mario games were great because of the gameplay and level designs. It wouldn't be half as fun if it was all flat land and a bunch of goombas and koopas. Level design goes a really long way in making a good game and FF13 simply doesn't have it.
