The state of California already has been working on this project for some years; here is some early footage with the govenor trying out the new atmosphere.
Its a gimmick joint in which the gimmick(s) can vary GREATLY with the geography/ ownership. Food isn't anything memorable; IMO below average bar food. Beer selection- exclusively cheap american fare on tap. In my nape of the woods, B-Dubs is a better bet. Better layout, MUCH better food, MUCH better beer choices, and the waitresses tend to be more engaging and more attractive.

This show was great because of the charismatic talented cast/ ultra cheesy premise/ low budget combo that always works for TV shows. See: Brady Bunch, Welcome Back Kotter, Taxi, Diff'rent Strokes, Family Ties, Knight Rider, A-Team. And yes, Tiffany Amber-Theissen (Kelly) was a real fox.
Interesting to note the disturbing trend downward of 'game shows' in general. Was a time when Jeopardy was a weekly prime time show. It was eclipsed in popularity by Who Wants to be a Millionaire, which gave you 4 answer choices.
Now we have the aforementioned Deal or No Deal, which is pure luck, and a show in which grown people are challenging fifth graders in academic pursuits (and losing!!!).
I guess there is no way to go broke when one appeals to the lowest common denominator. Hallenbeck77
