i know reviews are based on the opinions of the person reviewing them and therefor are subjective, but still... Can we all agree that annual releases are bad for the game and bad for the overall industry? the game description like right next to what i'm typing here boasts "all new campaign and all new multiplayer action". which i know is a lie because it's the same call of duty game over and over for years with minor tweaks. as for the campaign, military fps campaigns have gone down hill over the past several years (bad company excluded). I will be getting battlefield 4 for the next-gen consoles, because at least destructible environments are somewhat new and cool.
I finished AC3. I would have enjoyed a little more freedom in the game, especially with the sailing portions but it wasn't as bad as they make it out to be. They can't all be Halo or Half-life you know. If you wanted to bitch about an assassin's creed game revelations was the one to bitch about. (also found the animus to be annoying and useless). I will say that AC3 ending, for both the animus storyline and the revolutionary storyline was disappointing as hell. I never expected much from the animus storyline but i expected better than that and as for the other.... well someone with native american roots in that point in history was never going to have a happy ending now were they? still was a bummer.
An interesting point. Can you reign in the hateful comments of users and have more civil discourse or is the vitriol you find on just about any site with an open comment section indicative of humanity itself and the darker nature of our species. As an older and I like to think more mature gamer even I find it hard to keep the conversation at an adult level and not get pulled into juvenile arguments. Sure the site moderators have a responsibility to keep tabs on things but it's also up to the community to try to keep the conversation mature. If we just allow ourselves to devolve into pissing matches at the drop of a hat we probably don't deserve the privilege of having the conversation in the first place.
That's why i'm getting a PS4 instead of an xbox 1 even though they reversed their position. they haven't learned their lesson and they are just waiting to put all that crap they got rid of back on the playerbase as soon as they think they can get away with it.
