[QUOTE="REVENGEotSITH"]So tell me guys, when a game is on the 360 and the PC, who does it hurt more? Seems to me that it hurts the PC more than the 360 given the sales figures for like games. Javy03

PCs arenot dependant on games to sell, they sell because they have a million other uses. The 360 only sells because its a gaming rig. So when its big hyped games go to PC it is one less reason to get a 360.

Not really, I don't think many PC owners can be bothered to upgrade their rigs to play one game like Bioshock, so they won't buy it on any platform.Do you think it's just chance that MS are dropping the price of 360 in the UK the day Bioshock lands?, of course not, they know it will shift systems. High end PC's and Xbox 360 are two different markets, multi platformgames like Bioshock that only work on high end PC's do not really affect Xbox 360 sales. I'm sure Casey will try and point out that 360 has lost something and lemmings are hiding, but I no longer care what he says, as a mod he should take a back seat and stop enforcing his PC biased views on lemmings who don't care.

ok we get it, the PC version is better, why do hermits have to keep ramming it down our throats?. You get a small upgrade, the way hermits talk about it you would think they were playing the sequel.

I like Cakeordeath, he's a very reasonable mod, but I just don't understand Casey, he makes topics like myths that need to die, as if his opinion on gaming is the only one that counts. That's fair enough, but does it need to be stickied?, Idon't see the logic behind that, it must be a power trip.

And in the topic about people hiding behind their PC, he took the oppertunity to ask lemmings why they're hiding?, it's like he holds a grudge against Xbox 360 for sharing games with PC like Bioshock. I don't know but I find him to be a bit to controlling, unable to hear the voice of reason. I'm sure he'll put me on his list or something but I don't care, this place needs some fresh blood to make the place feel less constricted, but like I said, I like Cakeordeath.

I just find it ironic that the Bioshock review topic is still locked and everyone has reviewed the game already. That topic should have opened last week. It's bad enough we are all shoehorned into this one topic where nothing makes sense and everyone's arguing about PC Vs Xbox 360, if you want real discussion about the game let people make their own topics that talk about different aspects of Bioshock. This topic, and the review topic will just be filled with rambling and fanboys, it's not discussion on any level.

So what's up with the official review topic for Bioshock?. Sorry to break it to Gamespot but their review is no longer important as we already know the game is great. The only thing the review will be good for is for silly fanboy nonsense,

Sorry Gamespot but you're to late, everyone's reviewed the game and went home already. The Gamespot review won't make a blind bit of difference as people already know if they're buying the game or not.

[QUOTE="blackace"]Really, so is this why games like Oblivion, F.E.A.R., Call of Duty 2, 3 (and probably 4), Halo 1 & 2, RS: Vegas, etc have sold millions of copies on the 360 & PS3, but have only sold 100K's on the PC? All these games are multiplat and have sold much better on game consoles then on the PC. It's obvious that more gamers have PC's then game consoles. So why aren't more PC gamers buying these games on PC? Explain that one genius. :roll:Vandalvideo
You act like quantity matters at all? We're arguing fundamentals here. PC sales DO EFFECT console says in some form or fashion. As you illustrated, the caused a deficit of 100K game sales, maybe even less than that depending on who owns multiple copies, for the console. That right there = the PC had a tangible effect. You can sit here yapping about TEH NUMBARS all day, but when you get right down to the nitty gritty, PC SALES EFFECT CONSOLE SALES.

Let's use Bioshock as a example.

It's only a 100k deficit to Xbox 360 if those PC gamers would have gone out and bought a Xbox 360 to play Bioshock if it wasn't available on PC. Most PC gamers would not go out and buy a 360 to play Bioshock, so the deficit is not 100k. I wish some hermits here could admit that Bioshock being only available on Xbox 360 and no other console was a good thing for Microsoft. It seems the thought of having to share a game like Bioshock with console gamers makes them digg there heels in and start spewing nonsence.

Bioshock was a Xbox 360 game first, it was made by 2K Boston the lead team, the PC version was made by 2K Australia. Hermits need to admit that having a console exclusive like Bioshock matters, and you can spin it as much as you like and say stuff like it's multiplatform, but at the end of the day most people will buy it on 360, a lot of hermits don't have a rig to run this game at decent settings, therefore it may as well be 360 exclusive as the PC numbers are but a drop in the ocean.

lemmings need to stop hiding behind the pc. can't your system stand on what seperates it from the rest of the competition?CaseyWegner

It has the best exclusive line up for the rest of the year, Halo 3, Mass effect, Ace combat 6, PGR4. Add in console exclusives like Bioshock which will sell far better on 360, recent price cuts, and it stands on its own just fine. Lemmings don't need the games, we have them, everyone else needs them this year.

Bioshock may as well be exclusive to 360 as it's out of reach for many PC gamers. PC gaming is all about cutting edge now, it shuns the majority in favour of the few, add in rampant piracy andit's in deep trouble.

We each have our own POV, with our own existing setup, and that will always determine which version is superior for YOU. But yes, given unlimited budget, the PC version is superior.

But my point was that the 360 version will be ranked higher, will sell better, be more accessible to people. I never said the 360 version was better technially, just better for people who do not have high end PC's, and those who don't like playing games on keyboard/mouse, believe me they're out there.
