OMG GUYS! Where's Afrika!? LOL, c'mon guys. Seriously. Think about what you're saying. You can scream and scream until your lungs are sore, but the games these guys are looking forward to the most are mostly on 360. It's that simple. And not hard to understand, either. The 360 has a very impressive lineup.
To the guys (Gothchild83 in particular) who think people should stop whining because it's cheap for a Blu Ray player... Thats the point. WE DONT WANT A BLU RAY PLAYER. We want a games console, not some new expensive pointless disk format CRAMMED down our throats. Also... You say the PS3 is already better than the 360... How much PS3 have you actually played? Any at all? A few minutes at an expo at most? And finally... HDTV isn't becoming something you NEED to have. The switch in Television broadcasts is just changing analogue signal to digital signal, which ALLOWS for HDTV. In no way is EVERYONE going to have to buy a new HDTV. If someone doesn't want a Playstation 3 because of the price, then thats their choice. You dont hear people saying "What? You havn't got a mansion? Why not? It's only money, stop whining! It's cheap if you consider how much the land it's built on is worth!". Get off people's backs. If they dont want one, they dont have to get one. And if you want one, you're free to get one. End of.
Also thought I'd add: It's giving me the feeling of how the PSP made me feel when that was coming out. "Oooh. That looks kinda good actually... But I cant be bothered with it." I'm thinking this PS3 launch will be a bit like the PSP launch, just on a much bigger scale, and slightly improved as Sony MUST'VE learnt from at least one of it's mistakes.
I'm not going to buy one. Admittedly, as launch nears, it's looking like a nicer prospect than previously. But it's still too expensive to me, and there's nothing wrong with my 360.
HDDVD add on for 360 isn't a requirement. They aren't FORCING us to buy it, thats the differance. Also, you dont need a remote to play DVD's on the 360, though you did with the original Xbox. And you dont need to have wireless. And even if you did, it didnt need to be THEIR official wireless. Microsoft is giving us options. PS3 is shovelling expensive crap down your throat.
Yes, we know why the PS3 costs more, MGSseries... ... Because it's filled with Sony's crap which they know no one will buy unless they force it down cusumer throats by including it in the PS3, like a trojan horse.
