I've been collecting since about 2003 but since about 2008 or so and on. I've seen a huge influx of new collectors like i've never seen before and it seems what an item costs or how much of a deal they got is as important as or more so then the games themselves. Back in the early days it was about the games now it just seems like it's about the money side of the hobby. Like who got the best deal at a garage sale or at the thrift store. Like what's with that? I've seen so many people out there get into this hobby because there is money to be made etc... IMO retro collecting has lost it's innocence.

TR2 was the best IMO simply amazing the pinncle.

Back in the day when i was showing off water graphics i would pop in morrowind.

I'm 31 and don't quite enjoy playing the nes like i used to, i looooove the super nintendo still. But the nes's 8 bit graphics are getting slightly funky to me at this point and i play it for nostalgia. Even thou i grew up around the 2600 it's unplayable to me, hell it was unplayable to me back in 86 when i got a nes. Even at 6 years old once i laid eyes on a NES the 2600 looked like dog crap.

I have a huge maginze collection from the late 90's early 00's and Dreamcast was always in the new or on the cover. EGM etc...

a lot of those games from back then have lost there magic because early 3D graphics just don't age that well.

I was a long time call of duty player that switched to halo after the awfulness of black ops. I went back and played a few of the call of duty's and god they are awful. World at War has been runined by hackers/modded controllers. I couldn't find a game with out them. MW2 is the same Modded controllers and hackers. I switched to Halo because of the lack of being able to use a modded controller to any effect and i'm glad i did. Going back to a few of the call of duty's was just awful. And don't even get me started on 4 half the games i was in the screen was going crazy fast and everyone was shooting nades... Halo is the much better well rounded game and this is coming from some who was a long time COD player.
