i think this might be a split franchise, like megaman and megaman x, just depends what capcom wants the developers to do.

btw, who cares about some all-stars thing? i know im not buying some dumb MUGEN-like compilation relying on mass name dropping to make a buck.

I sure as hell hope they don't! They left gigantic plot holes in the fourth one, they should have answered them before moving on to a whole new project. That was the only reason I was hostile towards this new direction of DMC. There was a DMC4 novel that came out later by the way, and it answered some questions regarding Nero's origins. But Capcom hasn't confirmed it as canon or non canon.GraniteX

The old DMC story is pretty much finished I would say, DMC4 felt unneccessary streched out and had so much backtracking and recycled bosses it got lame by the time you got to controll Dante. I hope this will do well and will bring the glory of DMC 1 and 3 back with witty onelines and kickass action but its true Capcom trying to cash in bigtimes lately by making sequels after sequels for example RE6, Lost Planet 3 and now a new DMC.

i kinda feel the same way, I too was in jr. high school the last time I played a console kh game. I was lucky enough to have a friend in high school that had 358/2 days and he let be borrow it. But I just couldn't bring myself t keep buying these in-between installments, I'm more than ready for kh3, the game I view as the true sequel.
