I don't hate Macs...well OK, maybe I do, but not enough to bash someone else for loving them. But what I will say is that "I don't hate Macs, I love gaming...game over Mac." Next gen controllers are fine for some games, but adding a keyboard and mouse to your setup opens up a whole lot more options. Next Gen consoles have some great mass market type games, but why waste time with FPS, Strategy and RTS games with a controller when you can play them on a PC. In all other cases, as next gen becomes last gen, you're stuck with a very expensive, but worthless paperweight, especially if you REALLY are a next gen gamer (why else would you buy a next gen console). Meanwhile your PC is upgradeable. Don't want to upgrade? No problem. You couldn't pay me enough money to give up on the PC, the upgradeability, and the choices it provides me, but that's just me (and clearly a LOT of other folks). Anyone who really believed that Vista was going to be the most amzing thing ever probably got way too sucked into the marketing and hype to think clearly. On the other hand, anyone who thinks Vista is just an overpriced skin, or an attempt to copy Mac OSX probably doesn't get it either. Its a tool you use to interact with and manage your PC, applications, data, photos, music, movies, run programs, and PLAY GAMES. But there's no denying that the things Vista does well, it excells at, especially when you consider that 10 years ago we were launching games from a DOS 6.1 command prompt and using Windows 3.1 as a screen saver, and just 5 years ago we thought it was perfectly acceptable that our Windows PC were more crash prone than a demolition derby. Don't worry, it won't be long now before Vista does things your Windows XP OS won't do besides just look a WHOLE lot better.
