If Microsoft was stupid enough to send him a modded X360, then there is no way to prove it wasn't him who modded it if they didnt catch it initially.  While if he buys a new one flat out there is no risk of being blamed for modding, BUT they may not accept a new account with the same credit card...

If you are 100% innocent, I say send them the stupid Xbox.  You will be out a console for a month if they were as busy as they were when I sent mine in, but better paying for postage than a much large amount for a new console.  If the lawyer gets involved, tell him he can keep most of the money, as long as you get everything else you deserve.  It is Microsoft, so he can have fun raking up some lawyer fees for them to pay for all this.

Microsoft deserves a kick in the balls for their failure of a console just because some idiot didn't realize they were using the wrong metal mixture for welding in the chips...

A little conflict of intests when the guy who own a game review site and a PR firm that works with game publishers. This seems to be the way of the industy, and it is coming to question which sites will stand against following this patterns. The owner, Richard Kair, also holds stocks in some of the higher rated game companies on GameCyte. So does he trust in that these companies will do well, or that his company can make them do well, and isn't this conflict of interest when owning stock as well? (I know that if I see him pull his stock out, I will be doing the same with some of the companies.)

Joystick has reported on this, as well as GamePolitics. Comments focus around, read the reader's reviews, the reviewers might be corrupt, and that user reviews are normally better anyways...

To each their own, hopefully this isn't too much more of a growing trend. The unfolding of these types of events started about a year ago I believe. I guess it is time for game review sites to prove they are not afraid to tick off publishers with bad reviews, and start pushing the hard facts that many don't want to admit to. Indepth articles are great, especially exclusives, but hard facts are what will drive users to come to sites it seems now. Once creditable sites seem to be dropping in hits, while other sites with more loose rules on freedom of speech seem to be noticing more hits, which may be why we notice more ads on many of the sites.

Just some thoughts, what are your opinions and thoughts on all of this?

All of his threats toward gamers in other forums and online communities.... he has even tried to get people kicked out of their schools because of talking bad about him. he is a jerk, and deserves every bit of this. he is an evil man, and everyone needs to read his wiki if nothing else. Thank GOD!

"Well, in most cases, when you see a news story elsewhere but not on GS, it is specifically because we are awaiting comment from those to whom the story pertains. I made sure our news team is aware." Kevin-V

I am curious to if you have gotten a comment, or how long you wait for comments before saying, they have not yet commented on this story, or they have no comments at this time? I thought I saw stories before the next day an event like this happened in the past where you stated, we have contacted them and are awaiting comments, and will return for updates or something along those lines. Because if they do comments I am very interested, and I would be very interesting in GameSpot's opinion on the whole situation, if they (the writer at GS who gets the story) supports EA's point of view, their users' point of view, or stay nutural. (Which how do you do the last one if you are actually a part of this industry or have a passion for it, haha.)

...someone needs to switch to working weekends for a pay increase... ...news starts consist with new for a reason. ...where did I hear that from... Cheerio, hope to see the story soon! I want to see something special added to the story. Like an interview with someone asking, so why do you thing the exec pretty much insulted the gamers with his comments...

It is all over GamePolitics if you guys want to see some of what is coming out of consumer's mouths. Might be useful for the article.

I have high respect for tomboys. I refuse to date anyone other than tomboys for the past 10 years actually. I can't stand the girly girls who think they are so hot. (god i feel old, at least i have my college degree)
