To continue to make "I hate Bush because...." statements based on the meda's headlines is foolish and uneducated.
This plan has been with us for about 8 years now, a republican proposal.
It is up for renewal.
The dems want to expand it to include older "kids" up to 25 and households with higher income. Another thing you would hear AFTER they got their way is it should include all kids....meaning ILLEAGLS.
Bush said no its a waste of money.
It will go back to the house and hopefully be fixed, then he would sign on.

The Dems knew this would happen and it's a way to smear Bush. Ever since our resident socialist Hillary failed at her national heath plan in 1993 the mantra has been to incrementally make our health care system bigger and bigger until it is a complete national social program.

The key phrase here is " it's for the children" ....whomever votes against the children is a scoundrel . They have used this angle over and over.

Engrish_Major

So, caring for the health of children is "a waste of money"? This would have been paid for using taxes from cigarettes.

Apparently you are easily swayed by headlines like he's talking about. Yes, it would be "for the children".. but that really isn't the issue. If you fail to realize it than I don't know what to tell you.

It's funny how people who hate Bush hate him for all the wrong reasons.. and false reasons. A lot of people honestly hate Bush because "everyone" does.. they really have no idea 'why' they hate him. So they try to find one negative thing he did in his presidency and claim thats the reason they hate him. Those people are hilarious and sad at the same time. If you are going to hate Bush, at least know WHY you are hating him.. not just what you read by some liberal reporter or what johnny jack off says in your history class or on a message board. In my opinion, Bush isn't the greatest, but he's definetly not the worst. Some people get so caught up in the liberal and conspiracy propoganda that they fail to use any rational thought.

Only losers say that. People get stuck in that sophomoric state and can never achieve anything else. If high school is the epitome of your existence, than that is truly sad.22Toothpicks

I don't think it's to be taken literally that those 4 years are most definetly the greatest you are going to have. It's just a time when life for you is most likely much simpler than what is to come.. just having fun with your friends, getting into all sorts of trouble, chasing girls, having a sense independence for the first time, going on dates, going to the school dances, all those "remember when so and so did this and that" good times type moments. Not to mention playing on sports teams representing your city or town.. all the little groups or cliques.. jocks, cheerleaders, etc.. It is usually a good time in anybodies life.. that is if you make an effort for it to be.

Because you mature a lot and get to do a lot you have never done before in high school. A lot of firsts. It might not seem like it's great years when you are actually in it, but when you look back, you will be like damn.. I miss that.

That's my point. Random sampling is stupid. It is not accurate at all.

gangsta's doesn't necessarily mean someone who is in a gang. In New Orleans (where I'm from), there are no gangs like crips and bloods. There are certian sets who will sell drugs and have each other backs.. but no real gangs. They got the porch boyz, dooney boyz, 3 n g, etc. They are groups of a few people. They are basically out for self. But they are gangstas. The theory of "have to be in a group" is wrong. It's a respect thing. If you have a big army behind you, that means your respected. It's like they thinking I'm a straight up killer myself, but if somebody starts something, look at everyone who'se gunna ride for me.

They are still a group of guys trying to accomplish the same thing(a gang)especially if it is illegal. Some of them may be in it for respect, but others may do it for money or protection from lone thugs.

I'm saying that their crew will back them up.. but they are pretty much out for self.

And how would someone seriously know that 1/3 of American's are obese? Did someone go around weighing everyone in the country? No. It's a stupid stat.

I think it's more hype than reality. I've lived in 2 of America's fattest cities (houston and new orleans).. and there wasn't nearly as many fat people as people like to make it out to be. Sure, there are some.. but if those were the fattest cities, I don't see how the stats are acurate.

I think it's just the media blowing it up like they like to do to make America look bad for some reason. And everyone buys into the negative hype..

[QUOTE="Witchsight"]Its war... People get killed and displaced as standard practice. Thats why it sucks. And no one want to be depressed about it, they just want to hear its all gumdrops and sugarcoated rainbowbombsquiglythegreat
If that's what war is, and we agree it's horrible, why do we have war? What could be worse than that?

Why do people fight? Sometimes, words just aren't enough. The only way to make evil powers do something, is to .. well.. make them.
