The only way I'd buy a new Xbox is if it came pre-installed with Windows and I could use it like a regular PC. But the problem is, I would simply just set it to Steam Big Picture mode and not use the Xbox side of it at all, so I don't know.
Unfortunately, the localisation looks terrible, especially with terms like "chud" being used, and sadly, that will be this game's lasting memory on the Internet: how bad the localisation was. It could have been prevented, but it is what it is.
These help to bring more people in to PC gaming and buy games for platforms like Steam and sway people away from buying their 3rd party portable games on Nintendo handhelds.
Let's be real here: Sony are only doing this for the positive PR, and to 1-up Microsoft's own accesibility controller.
You can call me cynical, but neither of these companies genuinely care about accesibility; it's all for positive PR and to mention how inclusive they are in press material, etc.
No thanks. My digital game library is on PC, so if I want to play these AAA games in a portable setting, I'll play them on x86 handhelds, like the Steam Deck, Rog Ally, etc, not in Apple's walled garden.
Smartphone gaming still sucks. Handheld PC's, like the Deck, Ally, Go, etc, killed any interest I had in smartphone gaming, and they're much better for emulation and streaming, too.
@astrokidwell: The general consensus is that GameSpot lost most of its credibility in 2007, after Gerstmanngate. And ever since, has been struggling to find its identity. Sadly in the past 5 years, Giant Bomb has also died the same fate as GameSpot and lost its integrity, too.
I don't think there is a solution anymore; I think all great game websites are destined to die eventually or get bought by big companies who then lay off all the good staff.
The best thing to do is just find a YouTube gaming channel that you like and get all your gaming news or personality driven content from them.
