What I got out of this:

"We're Sorry. We'll do better next time so please pre-order and/or buy Battlefield: Hardline"

2 words Respawn: Server Browser.

Problem Solved.

It's the reason why so many FPS's older than you(on top of a few other reasons) are still enjoyed. Keep your garbage matchmaking system away from the PC.

I will rather pay 50-70$ than having ads in Windows...

Also what about all the games Windows already got? I am not changing to Linux if it means loosing half or more of my library of games. Linux do have the option to play Windows based games through something like Wine right?

Several options, some work better than others.

1. If your game is DOS/Depends on DOSBOX, then Linux has a native DosBox port, so they're covered.

2. Wine. But it only emulates up to DX9 features and can struggle from game to game.

3. Resources such as PlayonLinux where the community makes scripts to allow games to be played on Linux pseudo natively. General performance however tends to be somewhat poor.

4. Projects such as GemRB(an open source implementation of the Infinity Engine). Which are developed enough to run the original games on Linux(with the exception of Icewind Dale 2 and Planescape Torment).

5. Finally, unofficial secret supported games. UT2004 having a Linux Client and Neverwinter Nights installation on Linux(Although the process is horrendous).

Not exactly the most positive, but those are your options until Native versions are released.

@with_teeth26:

Yes, I'm aware of World in Conflict. However that game was PC exclusive.

I have much faith in Massive Entertainment, I however have Zero in Ubisoft.

Yea! Remember how Far Cry 3 looked at Reveal vs...Oh wait.

But hey, at least Watch Dogs is....nevermind

Seriously people. This is Ubisoft. Lower your expectations to zero when it comes to consistency.

No

See: Battlefield

Battlefield originally was a pretty much multiplayer centric game. It suffered the opposite problems in this gen. Other games were getting flack for incorporating multiplayer modes, Battlefield decided to tack on single player campaigns.

What makes you think they'll bring any first party game over?

You realize they've been saying this on a yearly basis for almost 10 years now right?(We love u PC <3 you getting games from us) And they've done next to nothing over those 10 years?

There is nothing really TOTALLY NEW in games these days, its features done before but reimagined.

Aye, that isn't my problem. Building on already existing concepts is expected. However I do at least expect them to acknowledge it.

"Bots have been around, but this is much different, something that couldn't be done before" or something similar, instead of just not commenting and pushing "newness"

So basically customizable and more independent versions of the Bot squads in Battlefront 2....

I mean, It looks and sounds great and all, and I don't want to knock it down(barring the other issues with Ghosts anyway). But I can't be the only one who's peeved at the fact that companies are trying to pass improved 6th gen features to a minimal degree as "Next Gen".

Bots used to be the damn standard and now they're some "new" feature.
