I'm planning on getting FE, but I have to beat PoR first. I'm the type that's obsessive about restarting anytime someone dies, so it's taking me a while. Plus the fact that I have other games I'm working on beating too. So I doubt I'll get FE at release, but I'll get it eventually.

Never tried Batallion Wars, although I want to. Gotta clean out some of the rest of my backlog before I even think of buying the GC version.

A 20" Symphonic (Walmart brand) flat screen CRT SDTV with mono sound plug in the front. I hate it. Plus it's starting to screw up - the sound cuts out sometimes and the picture starts getting darker or gets lines.

Hopefully I'll be able to get an HDTV around Black Friday or sometime.

Super Mario 64. I always used to love playing it at my friend's house (I didn't get an N64 until laaaaaaate) and the DS version just didn't cut it.

I've played the PC demo and I absolutely loved it. It'll probably be my next DS game that I get, or I might wait and get it on the PSP when I get one in September. Just depends on whether or not I want to trade stylus controls for prettier graphics and an easier-to-see board.

It's an ingenious concept though, and I really enjoyed the little bit I played of the demo.

Cake all the way. I like pie (especially apple pie), but I just like cake a lot more - like chocolate, carrot, lemon, and cinnamon cake. Plus pie crust is just so...bland compared to cake.

I watched the broadcast, but I missed a lot of it due to problems with it loading as well as freezing mid-broadcast. I remember them mentioning the ragdoll physics as well as the different characters having their own styles of play. Also I caught briefly something about the health system not having health packs. Like I said, I had problems with it loading as well as randomly freezing up, so I only caught random snippets of the whole thing.

Thanks in advance, Jody!

FR/LG are good for first time players because it's a remake of the original games, and it also has a tutorial mode. They made Emerald a little bit harder and included some more advanced gameplay modes with the Battle Frontier and such.

No it doesn't. The only thing that might get it off is alcohol, and even then it's probably not going to work, especially if it's been discolored for a while. It's not something you can just grab a damp paper towel and wipe off.

Nope. Unfortunately they're just a normal part of life when you have LCD screens. If you get one on your DS and it's in an out-of-the-way area that you won't notice much, I'd just try to live with it until it unsticks. But it it's like in the middle of the screen and it really bothers you, you can usually just take it back to Walmart or wherever you bought it and exchange it. I did it with my original DS because there were two stuck pixels right in the middle of the top screen that stuck out all the time when I'd try to play a game.

Sonic Rush is good. It plays like the classic 2-D Sonic games - i.e. really fast. The boss fights are 3-D, but play a lot like 2-D. My only real problem with it is that there are a lot of blind jumps and stuff that can screw you up when you're on a roll. But they're not enough to really hamper the game all that much. Definitely worth $20.
