Dedicated thread - EMBLEM Issue for Hour of Victory event

If you watched the Hour of Victory live demo preview event, and you have not received your emblem, please post your problem in this dedicated thread. We're going to allow this thread to be available for a couple of weeks. However, after this thread is closed any other reports for this emblem will not be considered. Make sure you talk to your friends to have them post their problem here so they can receive their emblem (if approved by staff).

Please list how long you watched the show, and it may help if you mention a part of the show that you remember (proof showing that you watched it). Thanks for your patience during this time.

EDIT: Make sure you all look in your profiles before posting here. It may have taken the database a little while to show them on your profile but they should be showing on your profiles at this time.  Noticed quite a few of you who reported this (ahem, wont name any names) but you already had it in your profile. ;)

Make sure you post your proof! It can be a comments message (time/date) you posted during the event, what you saw other than what other people said already in this thread or a screenshot. Also, just saying you watched it from the beginning to end won't give you an emblem if you post this after the post I made in this thread on Jun 5, 2007 4:26 pm PT.   

Hey 'Cali Girl' i watched the whole show from start to finish and was in the live chat for confirmation. If you need further proof there was a section with a proof, sorry its not alot to go on, i can't really remember much. I also do know that the show was very short around 25 mins, and that everyone in the chatroom was very anti-towards the footage we were seeing.

I have watched it all of it but I never got the emblem and here is a screenshot that I have seen the hour of victory event.

I watched the entire video, although I have yet to receive the emblem promised. The game seemed rather generic for the most part, due to the large amount of of first person shooters available in this day and age. There was mention of some demo and the show itself was surprisingly short and more of an interview style broadcast.

It wasn't very memorable, although again that is most likely due to my disinterest in the genre as a whole. 

Start to finish for me. I can also contest to about 5 minutes, minimum there, of not being able to get in as the link in IE7 always gave you "error on page". Finally got in thanks to someone posting the url in the comments section of the page.

There were 3 characters & the demo was no longer then 30 or 35 minutes in length. I also remember that the chat was open for a period of time after the show ended and Kreestas was the last mod/admin in the chat when it was closed.

All of the ones mentioned are fine and rec'd the emblem.  From what I can tell, you didnt need to watch the entire show, you could have came a little late.

I missed the first few minutes because Internet Explorer kept crashing so I quickly opened up Firefox to watch it. 

 No emblem yet and I just checked incase.

I am another one who watched the entire show and haven't recieved the emblem yet. I didn't take any screenshots or anything but I liked seeing Ryan Mac present the event since he hasn't been on camera in a little while. :)

EDIT: I just checked my profile and its there now. I don't know if it appeared whilst I was submitting this but thanks (unless it was there all along and my eyes refused to believe :P )

first, i would like to start by saying thanks to the creator of this thread. this emblem issue is something that has been bugging me for a long while now. i remember tuning into the Live Hour of Victory demo at 7 o' clock (atlantic or eastern time), cuz i wanted to support Gamespot live and also check this new WWII game. now, i didnt get to see the first minute of the demo, because the countdown timer for the event was messed up - the days, and the hours were showing in the thousands! i knew some thing wasnt right, but still tried to jump in. once i did i noticed that note saying the an emblem would be awarded for being 'virtually there' at the demo. i thought that was kool and was eager to get it days after watching the demo. i liked the new health system in the game, which has a self regenerating health meter, rather than running around to find health packs. however, i got no emblem for tuning in. i was wondering if the whole emblem award thing was just a joke and i guess i felt pretty bummed out about it. i hope this thing gets cleared up, and i would like that emblem to prove that i honestly support the gamespot live events 100%...

I watched the entire show and can remember that everyone in the chat was sick of another WWII game and that we mainly talked about other games.

I watched it all from start to finish, but no emblem :(. I was also in the chat room

I watched the entire demo preview and still didnt get the emblem. I did put in a comment in the HoV demo preview page during the live feed which is a proof that I watched it. From what I can remember, one part of the demo shows you how to play as a sniper and using tank.

EDIT: Sorry, I just checked my profile and the emblem is there already :oops:

I missed the first 3 minutes of the show, because of the problem, with getting to see it, but I watched the rest of the show and didn't get an emblem. Also, I remember the part of the show where they were showing the classes, and I also remember the part where they were showing the tanks.

Hi, I also watched but haven't got the emblem. First I had some problems to start it with Internet Explorer 7 but after 3 or 4 minutes I got it working. The show wasn't very long. I remember the tank (I didn't think the explosions looked that good BTW) and it was kind of a short demo. He was talking about the different skills characters have etc. I stayed up till midnight (Holland) to watch it so I hope I'll still get the emblem.:)
