I was just recently trying to think back, what was the most I've ever payed for a game. If my memory serves me correctly, it was Falcon 3.0 (PC). I paid $70 for that beautiful piece of work, and never regretted it. Kind of wish I had hung onto it.

I was playing Road & Track presents The Need For Speed on my PlayStation just the other day. The oldest game I've played in recent times.

My favorite soundtracks are from Quake 1 & 2 I haven't heard 3, I just ordered the game. And I love the Doom 1 and 2 soundtracks.Efielret
*thumbs up* The music in all of id Software games are always great. Of course I'm a huge fan of the Quake 1 soundtrack... if you recognise my avatar you know why. ;)

I own two Xbox consoles. One is an older one.. like v1.0 or v1.1 probably. The other is a v1.4, so kind of newer. Anyway.. with both of them, I have a weird.. issue.. not really sure to call it a problem. When I go to open the drive and there is no disc in the drive, they will not open. The newer one I have, you have to push the tray in sort of.. like give it a poke on the door, and it'll open (this is after pushing the open tray button). The other older one has the same problem... however to get it to open I have to give it a light love tap (closed fist heh) on the top of the system just above the drive. Now the weird thing, and this goes for both of them.. if there is a disc in the drive.. they both open up just fine never fail. Anyone experience this also,.. have any suggestions?

Clive Barker's Undying for the PC. If you like to be scared out of your wits to the point of uncomprehension,.. get this game. Many people can't even play this game due to just not being able to handle their emotions. Fatal Frame, HA, Silent Hill, HA,.. cartoons compared to Undying. This is of course my opinion.. but if you haven't played it... give it a try and you'll know what I am talking about. I think you'll agree. Another great one that doesn't get mentioned much is American McGee's Alice for the PC. Definately another one I'd recommend. Wont scare you to death.. but will definately make your spine crawl.

I used to be addicted to NHL Hockey ('94) for the PC. I loved that game. I don't own it anymore though, and haven't played it in ages. However, it was by far my favorite.

[QUOTE="MiseryINmotioN"]Well it certainly is not of the same generation as those systems you mention. However, it is still a legacy system. The second the PS3 was released it became one. Even if they are still making games for the PS2 to this day. I agree with you though, there is no comparing when you cross the generation gaps. PS2 can and should only be compared with the Sega Dreamcast, Nintendo GameCube, and the Microsoft XBOX, as these are all of the same generation.. the sixth generation (1998-2006) of gaming consoles.xmitchconnorx

i still don't like to consider it a "legacy" platform, but it seems that we're on the same page.

Well let me ask you a question. Do you consider the Sega Dreamcast, Nintendo GameCube, or Microsoft XBOX legacy systems? I ask just out of curiousity. These systems are all on the same technology level as the PS2. However, unlike the PS2, games are no longer being released for these other systems. Which is a shame if you ask me, because I feel the XBOX, for instance, had so much more life left in it. Not even a total of 1000 games were released for the XBOX. Of course that is Microsoft's way of "encouraging" everyone to purchase a 360 if they were a fan of the XBOX. I have to say I appreciate what Sony has done for the gaming industry more than any other company. I've been a fan of Sony long before they got into the gaming industry. When it comes to electronics, Sony has ALWAYS been my number one choice (Panasonic second for those that care). When they released the PlayStation, they made a fan in me even more. They secured my loyalty long ago. Anyway, sorry, I kind of got off topic there. My apologies. :)

i dont recall playing much of them, but i ahve something for them...

maybe because it gives me nostalgia of the 90's....it was so innovative back then and new stuff comming out...today its only gears of war 15, zelda 16, COD23, GTA 12...all on the legs of the same formula, now its about what makes money than contributing to the industry

You forgot to mention Need For Speed 118.. ;)

I thought I'd share with everyone my latest finds that I picked up over the weekend. Let me know what you all think? The prices I payed I feel are fair, but not quite at bargain level. *shrugs* XBOX w/ 2 Controllers, 2 component cables (the A/V cable), two power cords (one original one and one with the surge protection thing on the end). Everything is genuine XBOX stuff. No aftermarket crap. - $60 Genuine Sony PlayStation DuelShock (the one for the PS1) controller in near mint condition. - $10 Genuine Sony PlayStation 2 foot stand (the blue tringled stablizer stand). New. - $3 Original black label release of The Need For Speed for the PS1 - $5 Original cardboard box release of NBA Live 96 for PS1. - $5 Original black label release of Need For Speed III: Hot Pursuit for the PS1 - $5 Original black label release of Armored Core: Project Phantasma for PS1 - $5 Champions of Norrath (PS2) - $15 (been trying to find this game for a long time at a good deal. I believe I got one. always played my friends copy and I finally got my own. I've owned the second game for quite a while. Best of all, it's in like-new condition.) Quake 4 (PC) original release, complete, like-new (looks unused) - $8 Guitar Hero II (PS2) - $20 (talked down from $30) Anyway, I think I did alright. I spent quite a bit but I'm happy with what I spent for what I got. I already own an XBOX but I've been wanting a second one for some time. Now that I have it I'm going to get another TV so I can system-link the two together for some co-op gaming nights with my buddies (DOOM 3, etc.). Maybe even some deathmatch nights. Not too mention some full screen racing in Forza. Any of my games really that are system linkable. Whatcha all think?
