In a series with so many games being one of the best doesn't mean naming the number one.
For me Revelations is right up there with the original 3 Resident evil games and Code Veronica. I didn't like RE4 personally, too long.
This game has been considered a great RE game by virtually everyone, and gathers many of the quality features that makes the series great. Its annoying to see Capcom finally giving us something we have been asking for so long being being shoved along with their other recent efforts that people don't care for so much. Thats all im saying.
Not really. People can enjoy bad games, bad movies and bad music. Just because its bad doesn't mean its not enjoyable. Most people don't even know what distinguishes a good product from the bad, and every design choices will gather fans regardless. Case in point Deadly Premonition, Planescape Torment, Dragon Age II. Movies like Scary Movie or generic action flicks that often don't even come to the theaters, or when it comes to music some rap songs that promote offensive behaviors, criminality, discrimination and dont have any musical merit and people still enjoy it.
Liking something doesn't mean its not crap. Dead Island is a bad game that people can still enjoy. A reviewer however can't go in those terms, if a game is bad its his job to say its bad.
