Great piece; good to see solutions rather than put-downs, and they're great solutions too. They easily have the best software lineup of the next-gen offerings at the moment, and that's why I bought one over a PS4 and XBone. I still believe there's an itch in the gaming community that can only be scratched by Nintendo's hefty experience and boundless imagination.

@Shitname I had your exact same experience with assassins creed. Maybe I will pick up number 4.

@meatz666 I agree, we shouldn't fuss over mediocrity. Unfortunately though, Microsoft has consoles to sell and an objective to generate as much hype as possible.

Many launch games are crap because deadline pressures are the heaviest at the beginning of new console cycles. The final product shows that visuals were top priority in development; makes sense because if you think about it, what will the average consumer think when they see in-store demos of the game? They're going to think 'that looks awesome, maybe I'll think about putting money down for this'. Given that - perhaps in some (shallow) sense, this game was a success?

@awheaten Can you name one single M$ exclusive that has gotten a perfect 10 on this site? The fact that you make up stuff like this has already revealed yourself to be biased and jaded.

I think Feedbackula should stick around. A critical response to atrocious community behaviour can only be a good thing.

I have no problem with the score, give it a 7 for all I care - but the review was difficult to read. Save the flowery language and metaphors for the short stories. We want an evaluation of the game, not a creative writing sample. And for a game that got an 8, there isn't a whole lot in the review on what he actually liked about the game...
