This isn't new to most consoles/devices....so now the X-box One can only disks of the same region in terms of software.

Blu-rays are configured for regions as are the players. This is merely fluff mixed into a little tidbit of knowledge about the XB1 that we will eat up(click for profit) and continue on with the gossip.

While I am not a fan of M$ direction, this is hardly news...

You make sequels and set goals to sell MORE then the previously incarnation without managing the ideal that sequels always sell less unless you promote it heavily or its previously installment at sale price. However, unless its promoted well by fellow gamers and (credible) reviewers, it wont meet their grandiose expectations.

Played videos games since I was 3 with the NES. Nothing out of the ordinary to report. Then again, who can cite what is normal when the normalcy is the minority? Stress, Greed and Fear are the main roots of bringing about violence. Since we dont want(or cant) handle that, we find scapegoats...

While I'd admire your pursuit into the psychological aspects of the characters of Persona 4, it isn't as 'extreme' as lead to believe. Try to think of them from the "Japanese Culture". Their psychological manifestations that they are brought to the extreme in the other realm.

Kanji, despite the manifestation, is just scared of being rejected for what he really is. After his initial display of taking out a bike gang for preventing his mother from sleeping, he'd rather keep the act of 'tough guy' because people react 'favorable' to it. He has a 'sensitive side' but was ridiculed for so much that he had to repress it deeply.

Now Naoto is more about 'family lineage'. Coming from a line of famous detectives, it is expected of her to honor her deceased parents and prove her abilities. However, due to being both a child and a female, the Police Investigation would not take her seriously. She initially believed that portraying herself as a male would garner some more respect, which did in a way. But, it was denying her true self.

It is really their masks that repress who they are and the realm takes them to the 'extreme'. While the undertones could represent that view, Carolyn, I doubt their would be so direct in addressing such issues because of their culture.

Alright, you spent so much of the article talking about the games with violence as part of their gameplay, you don't mention ANY games that stood out because of the low violence. If you are going to have a title like that, AT LEAST give an example.

I know the exact demographic that they are catering to. Truth be told, most gamers are 18-35, which have more resources to purchase their games then the 'Mommy, buy me this!' kids. While the violence may be turned up, I along with some people, try to look beyond the flash and focus on the substance and gameplay. If a game doesn't have that, it isn't worth buying. The violence, was to get your attention.

It would be very simple. Make an 'Ultimate Alliance' type of game with a 3-rd person action/beat-em up with all the avengers in a 4 player co-op. Each with pro/cons. Though it would be funny that people rage quit if they dont get first to pick hulk.

Well another reason is the overabundance of fighting games. When 4-5 fighting games come out in the spanse of a year, people have little desire to get more. Capcom's DLC situation and the potential to 're-release' the next installment of the game has made most of their fanbase hesistant.
