I agree that leaving most devices plugged in will drain the battery over time, but most of the ones leavingthe ps3 controllersplugged in have not experienced any loss, which leads me to believe that the ps3 controller may be using a new/different type of battery like the other person stated. So yes its common knowledge but it may not apply in this case.
Hmm from all these choices I think I have narrowed down the "style" of RTS i like. Faster paced, as in games that last...lets say under 1 hour. Futuristic is a plus, but age of empires wasnt and it was still good. This i think is a biggie, I like resource gathering. I played Company of Heroes and i really liked it even though the gathering was not there but i know my friends would notlike this game. Did somebody say DOW II was RPGish in multiplayer? Cause that is something I do NOT like. I cant stand boss/hero characters.. I think thats why I didnt like Warcraft3. How is the new command and conquer? I wanna play a newer game, within 2 years is OK. Oh and I do not want armies of thousands. 200 or at least under 500 is good enough for me, unless you can convince me otherwise.
All these suggestions are great. I guess im just old school when it comes to RTS games, I mean I hear World in Conflict is great but doesnt the absence of resource gathering kind of take aspects of the strategy out of the game? Keep em' coming!
Dawn of War 1 or 2, Warcraft 3. Btw, how is the performance 4770 x 2? and how many watts is ur psu? I have one and thiking of CF'ing...flipin_jackass
Its runs great. I have the Corsair 750TX but thats not even close to what you need to run those 2. You could probably use a 500watt psu or maybe less. 4770's power consumption is almost non existant.
Thanks for the suggestions guys. I cannot wait for SC2 to come out but i feel its gonna be about a year or so away. Dawn of War II looks promising, hopefully its really "strategic", i wanna be able to outsmart my buddies and feel good about it haha.
I think they delay it because they know its gonna be put up on a torrent the next day. Now if a PS3 and PC owner wants the game, he might think hmm free game on the PC or pay $60 for the PS3 version, many would choose the first option. However if the PC version is delayed by 3 weeks then why not just buy the PS3 version of it to avoid the long wait.
BTW Xbox games are prob the easiest to pirate. You can buy a hardrive with like 150+ games for around $100.
Im looking for a game to buy along with about 5 of my friends. I just don't see that many appealing strategy games out now. Here are games I liked:
Starcraft, Age of Empires II, III is OK. I've been playing fps lately like bioshock, borderlands, farcry, etc. But we wanna try a fun strategy games. Suggest away.
