That's why it is very very important to have strong self-produced titles at launch and the first year in a console's lifetime. Sony has failed in this regard compared to the first-party titles Nintendo and Microsoft offered at - or very close to - launch.

many Raing motorcycles can dust a car and go up to 200MPH there lite and have massive HP. GS seems to know nothing about that.

Everyone knows this. Even 6 year old kids and 80 year old grandmothers.

What they meant was of course that the motorcycles were overpowered compared to the cars in the game.

The big 'problem' with the 100 million PS2 userbase is (from Sony's point of view) that the vast majority of them bought their PS2 at a price point of USD 199 or less.

Very few of those who bought a PS2 'late' in the game (when the console sold very well, was cheap and had been on the market for 3+ years) will not pay more than 2x the price for a new one.

PGR looks terrible graphics wise. Look at the screens; the blur is terrible.X_CAPCOM_X

The motion blur worked to great effect in PGR3. I have faith in it being just as good this time around.

Judging a racing game that speeds along at 100+mph from 'frozen' screenshots is a very strange thing to do.

August: Bioshock gets 9.0

September: Halo 3 gets 9.5

October: PGR 4. Considering that PGR3 (incredibly enough a launch game...) is still the best looking racer out there my guess is: 9.0 or better for PGR4!

It is surely a great time to be a Xbox 360 gamer. My only fear is that when the big holiday titles start appearing in November and December I won't have the time to play them all until next year! I've never ever had a console that 'forces' me to buy so many great games!

As long as Live is clearly better than what other consoles offer for free (and it is - by a mile!) I have no problems paying for it. What MS offers is in a whole other league than Sony and Nintendo. And this of course costs quite a bit of money to keep running.

I spend more money *every single month* for my internet connection than one year of live costs. So it's not a big deal.

If less than $1 a week is a deal-breaker then you probably have more important things to spend your money on than gaming.

Considering that the PS3 still has fewer 9+ games released as of now than the 360 had in it's *first two months* I would say that you are far off.

Gears of war is a great game. But there were several excellent games available for the 360 already at launch. Which is one thing one can't say about PS3 - in fact you're still waiting for 'that big great game'...

Except that Japan is the smallest of the big three markets by far. And if you live in Europe or the US sales in Japan doesn't matter much at all since the types of game most europeans/americans prefer are very different to what is popular in Japan.

On the front page is a small article aboutthe Sega Rally Revo demo being launched for the 360 today. But I recall downloading the demo off the PSN probably a week ago...whats up here?

This is what happens every generation; there are so much stuff coming out across platforms that websites have to prioritize. As a consequence of this the largest and most popular platform gets the most attention. This is nothing new; it happened last generation as well, but then in favor of the PS2.
