Let's not forget Square Enix's stunning tech demo. That was some seriously jacked-up fancy pants shit.

@jyml8582 Yeah, I'm also pretty damn sure Valve know what they are doing - its a damn smart company. However, I wouldn't say Phil is out of line. I think he is just pointing out some realities of the console business.

@LtReviews I do not believe that is true. I think it is Nintendo that has carved out its loyal consumer base, but Microsoft and Sony remain at loggerheads.

@DarkSaber2k You complete moron. This is a businessman handing a cautionary tale and is clearly speaking from experience. Scaremongering doesn't work this way with large and powerful companies.

This is a rich kid's gimmick. The owner already needs to own a decent rig that hosts a 6 series GPU, and this only allows the streaming of PC games from that rig within the home environment. Nvidia hasn't given any specifics on its streaming range, but I wouldn't expect it to have a very large radius.

IMHO, a gimmicky concept and device.

@ya5ee007 If that is what he meant, he should have clarified. Because the original HAS been re-released. If you paid more attention, you'd note that he followed up with [...] "At the very least, we'll see a mobile and tablet port of the game this year [...]"

"At the very least" / "port"

Given those quotes, I don't think he is aware of the PC re-release.

A note to the author of this article (forgot to mention in my previous comment)

Final Fantasy VII *WAS* re-released last year (in August) for the PC. Absolutely no changes to the game at all, other than updated drivers that allow it to be played on modern systems.

FF VII Remake?

Half Life 3?

Well, I guess it's dreams that keep us going, right?

Instead of using this tragedy as an opportunity to educate people of the harmful effects of domestic trauma, social isolation, personality disorders and the like, the powers that be immediately dump the blame onto an easy target and what's now an infamous scapegoat.

The availability of deadly arms in the USA is simply staggering - the NRA, congress etc need to pull their heads out of their collective asshole and start doing some real work in fixing the real problems behind these issues their catastrophic consequences.

Reducing the availability of guns to the general populace would be a good start, but it won't go far in solving the real issues at hand. Adam planned the murder of his mother and the school shooting. He was an intelligent man and could have found other means or other sources of firepower if he was determined enough.
