@thecupidstunts: To be honest, I'm only disappointed because I don't think Kingdom Hearts is a good video game series. I don't have a strong preference for an actual fighter.

....Monster Hunter Freedom Unite and Monster Hunter Portable 3rd are better than any games on this list. I can understand leaving off Portable 3rd since it never left Asia, but Freedom Unite? Come on.

Breath of the Wild came out in 2017, chief.

After leaving the Great Plateau, no two playthroughs of that game are the same.

Yeah, this remaster never really grabbed me, as the issues I had with Skyward Sword were more gameplay-oriented. Apparently they've smoothed over the surface-level annoyances like Fi and some of the finnicky motion stuff - but those were minor in the grand scheme of things.

Frankly this is an example of a game which is just waaaaaay too long. It's the polar opposite of Breath of the Wild - it's too confined, and the entire thing feels like a dungeon. I like Zelda dungeon crawling but I like it as a pair with the more open ended parts - traversing Hyrule Field, engaging in sidequests, etc. There isn't much, if any of that in Skyward Sword, and this remaster can't fix that.

Capcom has really been killing it lately - everything they've made in the past few years has been extraordinarily fun. Looking forward to this.

Hopefully they can make this next part interesting. I don't think it's a controversial opinion to say that everything post-Midgar and pre-Temple of the Ancients in the original FF7 is unquestionably the worst part of the game. How will they evolve the core plot from "chase Sephiroth" into something that can sustain an entire game?

@Mamba219: Xbox allows purchases all the way back to there OG Xbox. Not all of them but that isnt Xbox's fault. Some of those licensing deals were specific to a platform so unless it is playing on the OG Xbox it would break the contract. This is why BC games arent every game. PC doesnt have this problem because PC is PC doesnt matter how old or new. I expect the licensing deals from the PS4 Xbox One generation forward to be smarter and allow play on the "Xbox" or "Playstation" ecosystem meaning they can play on the PS6 or Xbox Series A or whatever. Either way Sony not moving these games to their new store or trying to rework contracts to do so is on Sony. But the main problem is licensing deals that expressly mention a platform.

Yep, cool of them so far. However, I have to ask: do we really expect them to still have all their games available in 5 years? 10? That may not matter to some - many, in fact - but to someone like me who really enjoys revisiting older games they've played, it's just too much of a risk to rely on digital distribution on a console.
