i say overkill.

i don´t really care about the graphics since gameplay wise this game is nothing new.

the best thing about all the competition between the companies is that it forces them to inovate, and create better ideas, be them in the form of software or hardware. Nintendo felt it in the last generation with the Gamecube, so they inovated. and they are now reaping the profits. i believe that the ones who win about all this is the people who play games. sure, consoles have diferent games and all, but when you come to think about it, no single console is a bad console. they have different markets (well, maybe not PS3 and XBOX 360, but...) and really just depend on the characteristics of the person who is buying.
