Although i'm disappointed that it's going to be a while till we see a Doom 4, i'm pleased they are taking it seriously. Being such a legendary IP, and seeing as Doom 3 while a solid game, wasn't either a classic or a gamechanger, they have their work cut out.
Not a problem with DLC, whilst it looks like a shitty move on the outside, the first Season Pass mentioned 4 DLC packs which is what people have gotten.
So, if they are planning another batch and want to charge for them seperately or do another season pass at a later date, that's fine. Doesn't mean to say i'm interested in buying it.
When Gearbox pull their finger out and produce some better games instead of trying to polish other peoples turds, i'll be interested.
@SlaviksG @MafiaInGrid Honestly, I hope they don't.
Bioware haven't been up to scratch not long after EA got involved. The main guys have left the studio, and most of the "care" with it. Any business needs to focus on the $$$ but it should be an element of the drive behind the workforce of an entertainment product, not the sole reason.
I would rather they didn't make another Kotor, mainly as i'm pretty sure the way the company is now, it'd be a disappointment.
Seems people have forgotten what caused the uproar about the ending already. It wasn't because the ending was bad, but because they built this series up on choices that effect the outcome of the game in ways we'd never seen, even said "We aren't going to give you an A, B, or C ending", and yet thats exactly what they did.
This is not including the game breaking save import bug where your old characters faces couldn't be imported into the game.
Saying your product doesn't do something, when it clearly does is false advertising.
However, when a customer buys a product/game when it's been advertised as doing one thing, and then does something completely different. Also when it clearly took alot less effort than it would have if they'd put in what they advertised. I mean, they specifically said they weren't going to give you all this choice through the game and then have an A B or C ending. But, that's exactly what they did.
A game is still a product, regardless of it being art or not.
