I pretty much feel the same way about this album. The production is okay, but Nicolay did a better job on the first one and then the fact that there's almost no rapping, really disappoints. Phonte is a great MC, but he's just an alright singer and he only ends up rapping like 2 verses (correct me if I'm wrong, but I only counted 2) the whole damn album. Wack.
"this movie is ****ing terrible." "terrible? did you go in your time machine to the future and watch it? I'm just curious how you know that it's terrible if it's not out."
Seriously though, if you want a good hip-hop musical then go watch Idlewild. This one looks like it's gonna be a straight-to-dvd release. I would be more interested if it was based on Sticky's Kirk Jones concept album.
I think "Illadelph Halflife" is their best, but "Do You Want More?" comes pretty close. Unfortunately, I haven't heard "Things Fall Apart" so I can't really speak on it.
Ice Cube hasn't been relevant to me since "The Predator" so the choice is pretty obvious for me. Honestly, Cube should just stick to making movies now. It really sucks to hear Cube now and compare him to his N.W.A. days and his first three solo albums.:(
