I would much rather they just start a new series entirely. With conviction, Splinter Cell ended on a reasonably good note. The character of Sam Fisher came full circle.

Just start a new series, and less people will complain that the game wants to be different than its predecessors.

I think we all learned with Metroid Other M, you can't just make your lead character into something entirely different and expect fans to accept it.

Respawn wasn't PART of Infinity Ward. Respawn WAS Infinity Ward.

They released the Call of Duty Modern Warfare games. So you can't say they didn't release a game. You are just one of the mob of consumers who were easily tricked into thinking the developers of modern warfare were still developing CoD games.

To be fair, lighting/darkness probably didn't come into play in the first two Dooms because, litterally, High Dynamic Range Lighting, Light Bloom, Color Grading, and Scaleable Lightmaps had not been invented yet.

Binary Space Partitioning was so new to video gaming, that was actually the reason you couldn't jump in the first games.

Its hard to argue that Doom 3 made changes to the original. It was the first modern FPS game, basic by design. Of course they had to add new elements.

That's the worst part about it, she's a war asset!! So yup, Jessica Chobot's presence must be tolerated to help save the universe. Well, she gives a minor point bonus to the war effort, it can be replaced by some multiplayer.

You can try to ignore her, but as with me me, she's in a part of the ship where I used to visit crew member I enjoyed in the previous mass effect game...and I kept accidentally walking into her dam room...

Her entire presence- for whatever reason the camera is always focused on them. It's like "woah, thanks Bioware! Where else could I see more realistic breasts in a less contrived cameo that doesn't spoil an otherwise serious game??"

As for the Mass Effect 3 ending, Gamespot, stop pretending that the story in Mass Effect 3 was purely artistic rather than commercial driven.

After all, we had to suffer through Jessica Chobot's horrible voice acting, weird cameo, and much less appealing video game breasts. Mass Effect 3 did not always add things to the plot with good intentions.

I'm aware, that's why I pointed out the reviewer was Greg Kasavin specifically.

I'm not worried about Greg's opinion, since I think he's probably the best reviewer on gamespot. However, it is proof that it isn't the consumer's fault, as the article suggested- it is also the fault of those who are supposed to inform the consumer.

The article could probably state "Hey, sometimes the crap reviewers say (not just consumers) should be in games actually makes them horrible!"

In Gamespot's review of Doom 3, by Greg Kasavin, probably one of their most respected reviewers, it states in "The Bad" section of the review that one negative of the game, in the reviewer's opinion was:

"Some silly contrivances; like not being able to hold a gun and a flashlight at the same time."

That wasn't the consumers gamespot, that was YOU GUYS. Its no wonder why customers make demands that actually degrade game quality, when the websites dedicated to informing customers are just as uninformed.

Since Assassin's Creed 3 and Darksiders 2 will be available on current gen systems as well, anyone wishing to buy a console that has alot of mature games obviously would not use those examples as the best selling points...
