So I have this friend who wants to start his upgrade.

His current build:

FX6300

4GB RAM DDR3

GTX 750 TI 2GB (he plays at 1080p)

Basically there are two questions, since he doesn't have enough money right now to do a full upgrade (and we live in Brazil, so prices are pretty nonsense):

1) What would increase gaming performance more: buying a GTX 1050 TI/GTX 1060 or a Ryzen 5/i5 kaby lake with 8GB RAM?

2) In case he does buy a GTX 1050 TI/GTX 1060 on his current build, would there be a considerable bottleneck to deem it not worth?

I just noticed recently that my Windows 10 Home 64-bit is using over 50% of my RAM (I have 8GB) for no reason at all, apparently. When I open Task Manager there is no process that justifies such enormous usage.

Is there any way to find out what is going on? Or what exactly is using this much RAM?

I have a Gigabyte GTX 960 (GV-N960OC-4GD) and I'm considering overclocking it. I haven't overclocked any gpus in a while and I don't understand this "Power limit" option that MSI Afterburner gives me. If I slightly increase the Core Clock, can I do so safely without changes to the Power limit? Do I need to increase it as well?
