I pretty much lost fatih in thier ratings system when BioShock got a 9.0

Over shadowed by the unproven Bioshock? Disregarded though it may have the best FPS controls for a console game? Metroid Prime has been considered one of the best games last gen, so how does an unproven upstart like Bioshock eclipse it? Any good reason? I say we make nintendo aware of this stupidity. Halo 3 will be awesome. Bioshock looks extremely promising. SSBB is a surefire hit. GTAIV will be a best seller. Super Mario Galaxy will be thebest Mario game yet. Metroid Prime 3 will perfect Fps controls and will complete the awesome Prime series. So where is the hype nintendo? When hyped, Metroid Prme sold well over a million copies in the states alone. When underhyped and eclipsed by Halo 2, Metroid Prime 2 sold half that amount. Metroid Prime 3 looks to be the Halo 2 in relation to Bioshock: eclipsing a relatively unknown game (to casuals) by presenting the well known Samus. Yet Nintendo has taken no steps to ensure Metroid Prime 3 is well known. Are they waiting till its near release to advertise, hoping that a casual will conclude that the game looks cool and go out and buy it on the spot? I just don't know. Heck, even ign is commenting on this lack of hype.

So, what do you guys think? Does Nintendo have a strategy for Metroid Prime 3, or are they just hoping the hardcore players will buy it?

too true its pretty much got the same gameplay as every other FPS since doom and dosent really have much going for it gameplay wise in the innovation catergory.

still i cannot understand how someone can be so completely ignorant to not know why bioshock is so great, people here have mentioned things like how you can approach it from so many different angles but its so much more than that, the AI in BioShock is stunning with the BD - LS relationship being a landmark in gaming the way the AI interact realistically with each other and the environment are also something special.

my firend i suggest you do your research and read the previews, watch the videos and listen to the podcasts at the CoR.

Thats pretty impressive considering Famitsu completely bombed it if I remember correctly, I remember hearing alot of 6's and 7's.PBSnipes

Everything is amazing about BioShock. Story, atmoshere, character designs, and water effects.

Thanks your sig is funny too. But I guess a lot of people think it's great because of the story and atmosphere which, imo looks totally dumb to me. Sorry that this game doesn't appeal to me.

BioShock = Revolution in the FPS Genre that has won a lot more awards from the gaming press than KZ ever will.

it has mature moral choice invloved, it has the philosophy of Ayn Rand in it (to an extent) a unique and brilliant setting, great graphics and sound, one of the most devoted fanbases ever, AI that blows the competition out of the water and a replayability factor that few other SP only games can compete with.

1) that list is pathetically small

2) not to mention really really unappealing i definately will never buy a Wii
