If Bioware can do alot better with this one than DA2, then they'll redeem this franchise. It does make me wonder how the events of a version of Hawke in DA2 will tie in to the background story of this one.
@SpideR_CentS I've been spending alot more time lately on my own gaming PC, and I blame it on MMO's like Defiance & Guild Wars 2, as well as Civ5 & classic PC games.
Some of the best music orchestration has been implanted into MMO's from my own perspective. One of the best examples of that is Guild Wars 1 & 2. TERA also has some nice music score for a Korean MMO, especially during major fights.
@WCK619 It's not mentioned here, but from what I'm hearing from other sources, WWE '14 is already in development.
I'm sure some of the developers that can survive this will find new homes w/ the remaining publishers. However, I think Rockstar/Take Two would be a great new home for Volition & the Saints Row Franchise to complement the GTA franchise. As long as somebody else other than EA take the WWE game licensing, I think that franchise will remain pretty strong. I'm not sure which publisher would best suit the Darksiders franchise, but Sony, Square, or Konami would be good choices.
Oh brother. Out of Set 3 of the 4 Gamer Types, I'm pretty much 80% Min/Maxer, & 20% Hoarder, and that really applies to whenever I play any of the MMO's I have--GW2, Rift, TSW, & TERA. It also applies to the ME Trilogy, since I tend to go w/ companions who complement whichever Shepard build I use, or to complement the MP Group in ME3.
So listening to her analysis of the next four gamer types, what does that make me? Hhhhmmm, a mix of a completionist, reader, introvert, and analyst. That's why I don't do alot of MP stuff these days outside of MMO's & Co-Op's.
It really depends on which game I'm playing, too, but after watching her definition of the various gamer types, I'm mostly a completionist, especially with some of the MMO's and RPG's that I've played. Although I've only gotten all achievements on only a handful of X360 games, I try to do as many of the achievements as I can.
This is more than just a major victory for the PS3 & the PSN, but for game developers w/ a small indie budget, who want to go off the beaten path in game development. I was hoping for GW2 myself, but you can't please everyone when you notice just how many great games came out this year. Journey wins this particular honor, but in our own right, we gamers are the ultimate winners to have played at least some of them.
