I read they changed the processor to keep costs down. It did originally have a higher end processor.

I just bought a new 250 GBslim. Its a bit quiter, but my disc's get warm compared to the elite I had. My slim alsoblows quite the warm air out the top.

You will lose weight with Kinect. Playing Kinect sports works up a sweat with some of those games. There was a guy on here. Can't remember his name. He lost 100 lbs playing dance dance revolution on a steady basis. You still ahve to watch what you eat. Don't eat late at night.Playing any of the 2 Dance games, workout games for Kinect, or some of the others will do it for sure. Especially if your over weight.

You gotta love IGN U.K. Jessica chobot was the first thing I was thinking about when I seen it..LOL ;) Too bad their was no chance of that happening. I own a Kinect by the way. Its better than I thought it would be. There is some fun to be had with it. We'll see what MS does with it, and how the games progress.

I picked up a Kinect last night. I wanted one right from the start. Then I read a few bad things about it and had second thoughts. I bought it anyways and glad I did. It's actually better than I thought it would be. I'm having fun with it. Its not perfect, but not running into any major problems. I do have enough space for the Kinect. Hopefully some good innovative games comes out for it.
