Good idea with the Nakatomi Plaza. But garrauntee a horrible execution.

Bullet sponging

Tons of BS armor to chew thru

Only 5 floors are accessible

Limited time only

Good idea but will be done in such a way to not bring me back. Dedicated private servers would bring me back. That way hardcore FFA is actually playable with friends. The 1 person party rule for FFA is beyond fucking stupid, as is anyone who supports it.

Before anyone replies back to me. Just don't. I don't give a shit about your opinions on what I wrote.

@esqueejy: "I despise _____________ for their racist behavior and beliefs, not their race."

The only thing that fits in that blank without being so-called "racist" is a group of white people. If that is said about literally any other group, then it is labeled as such...

Typical. Also before it starts, I'm not going to listen to the apologetics on this. I have said my point.

@VANGUARD003: Oh I see what you mean about Celeste, now that does sound intriguing. I love when music plays an important part in games. I am a musician/composer, and gaming music has always been a big inspiration for me. So I may give it a go. What could it hurt, I am sure its not that expensive.

I am familiar with indie games. Flying Wild Hog is one of my fav indie devs. Well they were, I am not sure if they are still considered indie. SuperGiant's work is especially close to me as how they weave the music as being an integral part of the experience. Bastion was one of my fav games that released that year. Transistor was a hell of an idea with the music, but we never finished it. I haven't got a chance to check Hades. I kinda forgot about it until I started seeing it get such awards. I think I might swing that.

I am also looking forward to the ME remaster trilogy, as it should all be available day 1. (even with the 12gb patch) I am also looking forward to BioMutant as well, but not as confident it will be ready to play day one. Though it doesn't look like there will be a lot to wait on it for as far as DLC that adds to the game much. So possibly only a few weeks to iron out any issues. Its a new IP which that in itself kinda intrigues me. I don't like seeing a sequel to a game I haven't played, and feel as if I have to play the other one, or feel I didn't get the full experience. We have used youtube synopsis in the past to help mitigate this problem, but the feeling still lingers to a lesser degree.

There is a Starship troopers RTS/RTT game coming out like in the few weeks/months by a semi-indie group. (I definitely wouldn't refer to them as "AAA" by any means) Its called Starship Troopers Terran Command. I am intrigued by that. Franchise is cool, videos seem fun, especially if the graphics are being upgraded before launch like they say. (hell they look ok now, just more muzzle flashes/dynamic lighting, and I would be content)

So its not all lost I guess, its just among all the growth the gaming industry has done, its harder to get satisfied. Trimming the fat for focus isn't as easy as it seems with so much trial and error involved.

I have hopes for Halo Infinite. However, I wonder if it will be something I have to designate a lot of time to like COD and the seasonal stuff? I love the idea that there are day/night cycles, and dynamic weather, but wonder if that is soley for campaign.. Ahh I am just muse-ranting at the moment. But this is the most I have looked forward to a Halo game since playing Halo 3 on the 360. So I guess that is something. I just also worry about the hardware prices when games like this come to mind.

Thanks for the talk, and recommendations by the way. I usually don't get much in posts anymore except for condescension, trolling, and out right attacks... which over time among other things has made me a bit hostile. But I appreciate you putting up with my ranting, and bouncing some good suggestions at me.

@jeeberscreepers: IF the gaming industry shifts its focus to mainly mobile. That will be the death of actual gaming for me. As of now its dying, but not completely dead yet.

At that point many might take up a new hobby of turning some of these games into real life scenarios.
