The first Blood Omen is legendary. I'd like to see the return of some old powers. Possibly the morphing abilities, or an updated version of the system in BO2.

Yeah, the villain can either make or break a game. You've got to want to kick his/her/it's ass.

Do you set standards for the game and expect it to match or surpass them?

Or do you just go in, sit back, relax and have as much fun as possible?

BadNewsBen
I'd be lying if I said that I don't read reviews before I buy and play a game. So I almost always go in with expectations. But once I buy it, I sit back and enjoy the game. After I buy the game, the only thing I really expect out of it is that its good enough to finish.

I agree. I think it's smart to read game reviews before you buy them. It's good to get some knowledge, from someone who's played the game, or at least, watched someone else play it. On the other hand, the person who reviewed the game may not have the same taste as you, or even like the game. Read reviews, but take them with a pinch of salt. At the end of the day it's all to do with how much fun you have, and whether or not you enjoy the game.

[QUOTE="LEDCircus"]I really hope Crystal Dynamics have something in the works, because a good vampire game is well overdue. No more of this romantic nonsense, I want to see Kain's wrath unleashed. Hoping maybe a Blood Omen 3. Don't get me wrong Soul Reaver is excellent, but Raziel is nowhere near as badass as Kain.Krelian-co

if you played the last one you know that Raziel is no more, and the last game will be with Kain

Unfortunately, I didn't play the last LOK game, or atleast didn't complete it. It's good to hear Kain will be the protagonist, if, they have a new game in production.

I always watch the cutscenes on the first playthrough. Of course some are good and some are really quite terrible, but I at least like to feel I've experienced whatever story the game has to offer. Otherwise you're just mindlessly shooting stuff, and too many games are mindless enough even with the cutscenes.

Agreed, with the exception of that mission you have to redo 50 times. There's always one and eventually you're gonna get tired of the same cutscene.

I'm looking for a good local co-op game to play with my wife for any of the three consoles. I'm pretty open to games and experienced, but she's not that great at them. She games she likes to play include the Lego games, LittleBigPlanet, Marvel Ultimate Alliance 1 & 2, New Super Mario Bros Wii, and theHalo series. She is not very good at moving and firing, so please keep that in mind when recommending games. She also generally doesn't like the idea of killing people, so no games like Borderlands or even Left 4 Dead. Finally, Donkey Kong Country Returns was too difficult for her, so please bear difficulty in mind. Finally, just no to Gears of War or pure party games.

If anyone could please recommend some more games we could play together, it would really be appreciated.

Lego Pirates of The Carribean, Portal 2 (which someone already mentioned) is also really good co-op fun.

[QUOTE="LEDCircus"][QUOTE="starwarsjunky"] ugh. i absolutely hated that controller. so freakin horrible.starwarsjunky

Nintendo were ahead of their time, expecting humans to have 3 hands by the time the N64 launched.

if only they would have been right.... :(

I know, then smoking/drinking/eating whilst playing a game, wouldn't be so much of a task.

[QUOTE="LEDCircus"] Actually I'm a male android :P I don't know what to think about Nintendo. They could be a much better company if they stop restricting what they do and who they market their games/console to. On the other hand, some of the N64 games were fantastic for the time. Mario 64 comes to mind.starwarsjunky

N64 wuz beazt yo it wuz mah furst console
