[QUOTE="GamezRmiilife"][QUOTE="ilikecerealya"]

[QUOTE="GamezRmiilife"][QUOTE="ilikecerealya"]If there really is more than 35 characters, and sakurai updates with one hidden character daily, we should be able to find out on the 10th day of updates!ilikecerealya

no actually your wrong because he also going to update on stages to

no actually I'm not wrong, if you know how to read you can clearly see that i wrote "and sakurai updates with one hidden character daily," notice the if in front of the sentence as well

well how do we know tommorows update will be a character

Thats why I said IF! And I could ask how do you know it wouldn't? Sakurai could name all the characters first, you never know

Actually ilikecerealya, the statement you made is wrong. By saying that if there are more than 35 characters we should be able to find out by the 10th day is a wrong statement. You could say it is a "possibility" that we will know by the 10th day, but not that we should be able to. I am only posting this because it seems you think that you are right.

The Wifi features in Smash is actually pretty disappoint in my opinion.. the only thing that makes it good is Wii does any other game that uses it better and its Smash Online thats why its so good.. but the features they for us alone is really shallow at least compare to whats available in other games right now.Candy-Star

What are you saying here? Please use sentences I'm just really confused.

Okay, aside from all the bashing, the uploaded picture of the "final roster" from the Japanese version got me thinking. If you look at the Smash Bros website, at the update from today, and look at the picture of the starting roster, there are only three rows, BUT the three rows go all the way down the screen, touching the character box. In the picture of the final roster, there are FOUR rows, which go all the way down to touch the character box . . . therefore, the portraits shrink as you unlock more characters, which leads me to believe that there is possibly a whole other row to be unlocked, or something of the sort. I remember watching an interview a long time ago with a developer saying there would be almost double the characters in melee . . . so hey maybe there are still more to be unlocked. Time will tell.

For the people who replied to my post still believing the characters are "clones", I look with shame at you. You obviousy don't understand the intricacies of the game. For that weird Pikachu guy who gave me the example of Link, and Cel-shaded Link . . . the special moves are similar yes, but the CHARACTER is different as a whole. I guarantee one moves faster than the other, one does more damage, one can shoot farther, one has a better recovery etc etc etc . . . . this means they ARE NOT the same. As for Lucas and Ness, im pretty sure that a PK Flash, and a PK Freeze are not the same thing, and again, one will be faster, one will do more damage, one will have better recovery.

Jump off the clone bandwagon. The game is not just about how the characters look, its about the fine details / attributes of each move.

This is for all of the ignorance(if you don't know the actual definition of ignorance, it's not an offensive word. It means lack of knowledge, or lack of desire to achieve knowledge of a certain topic).

First of all, you have to look at all the new characters, such as Pit, Metaknight, Wario, Sonic, Snake etc that were announced a long long time ago. You simply have seen them on the Smash Bros page for so long, that they don't "seem like new" to you anymore, and therefore your brain only focuses on the incoming. Until you have personally played with the characters that were not in melee . . . they remain new, and there is no argument to it. As for crying about "clones", allow me to give you a definition:
Clone(klōn): A cell, group of cells, or organism that is descended from and genetically identical to a single common ancestor, such as a bacterial colony whose members arose from a single original cell. (Bacteria replicate asexually, meaning they are clonal, if you didn't know).

Key point being "genetically identical". If you remember from melee, Fox/Falco were NOT clones, they a) don't look the same, and b) do NOT have the SAME moveset . . . a blaster that stuns, vs a rapid fire blaster is much different.

Therefore until, and I repeat until you play each of the three said "clones"(which I have just proven - with a nice little definition - are not actually clones), you shouldn't complain. Besides, for a true Smash Bros player, even the slightest alteration in a moveset can make the BIGGEST difference, and ENTIRELY change the approach of the character.

Appreciate.
