Although this will be nothing more than just another minor news article for U.S. gamers, its great for once to see India in the news in gaming on GameSpot. Just hope gaming catches up in India big time !!!
Sony could have done this better for the PS4; they already have Sony Pictures :). As for Spielberg's role, I'm guessing he will most probably turn out to be simply an executive producer, thereby lending his name more than anything else !!!
With the game being set between Halo 3 and Halo 4, both of which are not available for Windows, I wonder how this is accessible to new comers. Maybe they were only referring to the game play, plot be damned !!!
They could have easily alternated between developments of the main Battlefield series and the Bad Company series and released them a year apart with say a gap of a year for development time - something like Battlefield 4 comes out in 2013, Bad Company 3 comes out in 2014, nothing comes out in 2015 and so on. This way, its like Call of Duty without the overdose !!!
They have a good chance to make even. Probably a prequel announcement incorporating next gen consoles or something (but could be a major DLC too given that its a Crysis 3 announcement). Lets see !!!
I bet most of that processing power available is going to go waste on developers hasty to get their games out in a bid to bill them as next-gen launch titles. Its only a year or two after the consoles launch that we'll finally get to see some optimized games for the new generation consoles. And then again, we "might" get to see such games !!!
