@Dilandau88: seriously. If you're more concerned with gratuitous kills and your own personal score, go play free for all on cod. I'm not putting that down btw but this is an objective/team based game. I'm not concerned with my k/d or score. I want to do my part to get my team the win and in doing so I'm usually in the top 25% and 8/10 times I also get the award for most objective points. So it all works out.

Didn't like it at first but I'm really digging it now. I would like to ask/say something to my fellow players...

I know it's super fun to just run around and try to get lots of kills and stuff, but if you run past a pod or uplink station could you maybe, I don't know, capture it? And then after you do, instead of running off to go get those super fun kills, maybe stick around and help defend the uplink/pod. It's a lot more fun when everybody does their part. Thanks.

@Rushaoz: I agree with what you said about the cod kill streaks. Maybe they could do both? So if you don't want to bother racing for a power up you can receive one based on the merits of your skill. As far as doing the objective, I'm usually the one doing all the work, at least that's what I'm guessing because I always get the award for most objective points, which is part of my frustration . Why isnit anyone capturing the pod? It's like they all want to purch themselves and get kills instead of play the object of the game. Id say I have a pretty good idea what im doing but struggling to figure out how I feel about the overall balance of the game.

After playing it for a while this is what I have to say. The limits of the beta leave a lot to be desired, I know this is just a taste, but it's not good enough to make me want to go get it day 1. Or for $60 for that matter. Its simplicity doesn't bother me but I'd prefer cod style kill streaks rather than the pick ups. It's really frustrating to see an AT-ST a few feet away only to have a teammate run up and take it. Over and over and over. It's also distracting and makes your team focus on rushing to get a goodie rather than focus on the objective. Another huge negative is that it takes soooooo long to get back in the action. I find myself mashing X to get back in and when i finally do it starts you sooooo far away. After dying and having to start on the opposite side of the map on the escape pod mode 6-10 times I just can't be bothered to try to get there anymore. Especially if you're on a crappy team vs a coordinated team. It's just not fun. Fun in theory, great graphics, but over all disappointing.

@Nightelf123: you make a good point about other Star Wars games being hardcore. Trying to appease the masses with this one, I guess. Which does have positives and negatives. I enjoy hard games, myself, however I still think there will be plenty to enjoy about this. We'll just have to try it for ourselves during the beta. And if people are too quick to judge to be like the cool kids that work at gamespot, I say don't let the door hit them on the way out, the community doesn't need the negativity.

If it's true I actually welcome a casual edge. This is Star Wars after all, shouldn't eveyone be able to jump in and have fun? I think a lot of people would appreciate being able to take a few steps without being instantly killed by a guy that lives and breaths online shooters. That'll happen enough as it is. There are plenty of deep games if you need that, but again this is Star Wars and should be able to be accessible by all that want to play. And I'm more than certain the hardcore crowd, especially if they love SW, will find a lot to enjoy. So un-wad those panties and stop taking everything so seriously.

@silentrambo: the term causual is fine as long as its not used negatively. I consider myself hardcore because I play games about 2-5 hours everyday, I've got 29 platinum trophies, and I enjoy all kinds of games from mousecraft, Dragon Age Inquisition on nightmare diffuclty (all games on their hardest difficulty for that matter), online shooters, and everything in between. My wife on the other hand is casual. She'll play 1-2 games per year on easy to experience the story. Nothing wrong with either of our preferences and it's nobody's right to judge. If they do it only speaks to their own insecurities.
