wasn't excited about this game (something about the marketing i guess), but i saw some gameplay on rooster teeth and thought id give it a shot. Im impressed with how dynamic the world is, and how everything breaks so smoothly. the graphics are pretty nice as well. anyways, i was surprised to see that the game was actually using all 20 cores (40threads) for a change. i guess this is why i dont see the hiccups everyone else has been seeing.

Maybe you guys can answer this dilemma. Im noticing that the graphics across the pc's aren't consistent. Here's a few screen captures to show what I'm talking about. i pulled the stills from the 17min walkthrough EA posted a while back, but I'm noticing the same details (darker, higher contrast shadows) on other youtube gameplay videos as well. I'm using a gtx780 with the settings completely maxed out.any thoughts? my stills are on the right.

i couldnt disagree with you any more. Out of all these games that establish some sort of driving mechanic, this one does it well especially considering its an FPS... not need for speed. All the previous games that would hint to allowing the player to drive was mediocre, felt flat, and was extremely linear. This game, you feel at least a hint of open endedness and the cars felt just right. The audio design behind this sequence was stunning and the action was well done especially in the second car sequence. I enjoyed it.
im all about first first shooters and the single player campaigns. I was never a fan of the original call of duty games. The first modern warfare i thought was actually very well done. THen everyone after that was crap and watered down and very repetative. The hit detection wasnt very satisfying either. I gotta say, im impressed with this one. Its nice to get behind the wheel of vehicles and im on the last level now and i gotta say the action and pacing is very well done. I dont find myself getting fustrated or annoyed. The graphics are nice and the audio design is spectacular. THe environments are well thought out and attention to detail is there. Obviously the game has a lot of action scripted sequences and theyre executed very well but because of this, the game isnt open ended so do not expect that. I would say $60 is a lot just because there isnt really much replay value, but i gotta say, im enjoying the campaign a lot and cant believe i would say this, but dig it much more than BF3. I would consider this over any of the MW games for sure. Oh and i would get it for pc if possible.
graphics are solid. runs very well. very optimized engine. THe sounds design is great as well. some random loading bugs but really nothing bad. The characters in the cutscenes are incredible... though the little girl is quite ugly and scary at times. haha
[QUOTE="Erandel"][QUOTE="f575gtc"]cmon guys why would they actually use pc has a primary gaming system? everyone knows PCs arent for games, they are for work and other things, but not games....................firefly026
That's borderline sabre rattling, but I'll let it slide for now as both games are being developed by different interface teams and not by one team just doing a port of the game for another platform - and since there is less to think about on a console in terms of setup it came out first.
That's just it, consoles are the simpler of the two, which is generally why larger groups of people tend to migrate towards that option, as opposed to playing games on a computer.wow cant you see hes kidding?
