After getting the plat for Demon's Souls and nearly getting the plat for Dark Souls... I felt that the breadth of Dark Souls was superior, but that Demon's Souls' design was much tighter with less room for bullshi.  The multiplayer in Demon's Souls was far better.  After putting in some effort into both, I could just never master the lag I suffered from connecting to the host in Dark Souls.

That being said, Dark Souls ultimately feels more open world.

Demon's Souls' design feels a bit more linear, but only in the sense that it gives you a few worlds to start in right after the tutorial.  You bounce back between these worlds (or levels) delving further and further in each time.  In comparison to Dark Souls, which ultimately dumps you right in with who knows how many ways to go (at first), it may seem limiting.  It's hard to say whether this is good or bad, because I love open world games.

As someone's already said, they're both really awesome games.  Your skills more or less transfer over into Dark Souls.  I actually felt a little bad for 360 players - jumping into Dark Souls for the first time must have been incredibly overwhelming.  Demon's Souls feeds you a little bit slower.

Also it's not as if they have to work with every single gpu. There are drivers for whole lines of them.

Stevo, you've used Vista, so a portion of your credibility and judgement just got thrown out the window. I personally find the PS3 UI to be fine, though some of the online options on the right side of the menu could be cleaned up a little.

The first one was way better. The second one... although good, was just that. Good. It didn't feel as tight or as polished as the first. Though to say Ninja Gaiden wasn't good because the camera sucked is a bit of a stretch. The combat was about as responsive as any could possibly be. God of War is also a great action game but you're throwing dirt on a classic that doesn't really deserve that.

Square and Capcom. Lost Planet was fun. Dunno what happened with the sequel. I saw someone say Sega... I actually have to give props for to Sega for sticking it out and publishing some really great games... Shogun Total War, Medieval Total War 2, Valkyria Chronicles and it's surprisingly good sequel on the PSP, and to a lesser extent Resonance of Fate, simply because the girl I was with at the time really enjoyed it compared to other JRPGs available. Bayonetta was also actually quite good.

The money handed out is just going to go into the next game. The same amount of people are taking up the same amount of space on their servers, so it's not like they're going to be overloaded. If you honestly feel that other people paying more money is going to help communities or online gaming, just think about it. Putting up additional barriers for new players doesn't grow communities - it hinders them. MP is dead without people. Also, charging for SP? Let's bar everyone under the poverty from experiencing great things. There's absolutely no problem with that.

Gamestop employs close to 20,000 people. I wouldn't say they've created 'nothing'

I don't doubt it'll look good/decent but, seriously, this guy needs to shut the hell up. Did he not say the PS3 version of Crysis 2 would be the superior version and when it came down to it, that really wasn't the case (though it was still close). He's quickly becoming the german based version of Peter Molyneux.
