I agree. Of the free-roaming-destroy-what-you-want kinda games is one of the best.

If for some reason you decide to buy another game - maybe you can't find Mercenaries - Project Breakdown or Ninja Gaiden are also good options.

i agree that Ninja Gaiden is a nice game but Quamtum Redshift as is it a nice racing game
