Can I make a human character with long silver grey hair parted in the middle, a long silver grey beard, Pale skin with one blue eye and one green? Can I change there built? Say make him tall and lean?
@Nikolajj This so much. It makes no sense. Same with lens flare and rain drops on screen when its suppose to just be a human looking at stuff(no window).
Boy do I hate motion blur I always turn it off and it baffles me when people mod it in. I always see it in "super graphic" mods and to me it always makes the game look worse not better.
I don't understand it either. Star Trek TNG is fav tv show but it would be laughable for me to thinks its the best show. Same with games, people ignore personal taste. If your a critic you have to try and put aside personal taste to some extent.
The best fps out there will not be more fun to play compare to an mediocre rpg for me because I like rpg's its my personal taste. That does not mean that I should review some mediocre rpg higher than a great fps game(and to be fair I should not even be reviewing fps because I don't care much for that genre).
Man I like Kevins reviews and GameSpot in general. I have long switch to other sites for video game news, preview and everything but reviews as I never liked GameSpot makeover(started coming here in 96) and I seem to like the actual site less and lee. But the reviews have only getter better with time as GS is one of the few major gaming review sites that actually uses the 10 point system correctly(instead of the normal 6-10 which other sites basically use).
Its annoying how often its seems sites do redesigns and then ask what people think but often just seem to say in respones your will get use to it. I recall one site where after the change they actually admitted the new design was here to stay when asking for feedback. In other words the feedback did not matter even if everyone one said it sucked gave good reasons for it, it would not matter. The new way was the way it was going to be.
There is another site I go to for MMA news called Bloody Elbow and they did a redesign and of course people bitched, and I pointed out a certain loss of functionality. At first I got the respones I expected from some staff, "oh you can still do that but you have to do it this way now,"etc. Then the person that actually runs the sites said he would look into it and actually fixed the issue and restored the original functionality of the feature that I had often used(and still do) and fixed many other user complaints until the site was actually much improved. It was a great example of actually listening to user feedback and admitting when some things where just worse with the new design and fixing them, not just saying you will get use to it or well now you can do it this other round about way.
I still can't figure out how to sort reviews by platform and genre. I like Gamespot because of the reviews, and I liked looking up old PC games normally RPG's now I can't figure out how to search by PC and rpg's, is it possible?
@mikees1 I have been a rev war reenactor for over 3 years, I have read multiple biographys of our founding fathers(including Washington), and many books on the time period in general. Its never a good idea to assume what the other person knows.
@UbisoftSpot I don't like the Assassin outfits anyway, but what I was refering to was the depictions of the clothing of the time period, the military uniforms specificly. But they have never done a very good job with with period clothing anyway.
