While the new gears maps look more vibrant and more detailed, color wise I think the first one looks better. Gears 2 just seems to have alot of the same color palet everywhere, while the first one seems to have more variety in colors.
Played WoW off and on but it was mostly the nice design, music and such that drew me back into the game. Other than that, it doesn't do anything I haven't already seen in other MMO games. And looks like Lich King won't change that either. Never really understood the extreme love people have for the Diablo games, but this third one looks good enough to at least warrant giving it a try. Who knows, maybe I'll finally see what the big fuzz is all about.
kyrieee: Mouse and keyboard ARE on the plus list in the PC. "+ Supports both gamepad and mouse/keyboard controls" And hdtv isn't in the minus list because even without one it probably still looks great. Besides, buying windows vista + all the hardware components to meet the recommended requirements on PC probably costs more than a decent hdtv
It does look quite a bit better than Halo 2 in most places, but so far it's not the mind blowing leap forward that everyone was hoping for. But really, the most imporant thing is the gameplay, and while familiar, I believe that Halo 3 will offer playes some satisfying improvements.
Seems like nvidia's card is coming out on top in most of the games, except for 3dmark. And that's something I really don't understand. How can ATI's new card score so much better in the 3dmark tests, yet fall behind in almost every actual game test? Kinda makes me doubt the accuracy of the 3dmark test.
"supashooter hahaha Windows Vista is FAIL according to these charts" Actually, it's not. If you've been paying attention, you'll know that Vista is developed with DX10 in mind first and foremost. I'm pretty certain that once comparisons between Direct-X 10 for Vista and Direct-X 9 for Windows XP are released, the former will outperform the latter.
