They also acquired Nexus: The Jupiter Incident and made a minor patch to make it work better on current widescreen monitors.

Here's hoping they've got something cooking for Nexus :)

She actually seems to be pretty level-headed about it all.

It's really cool of them to look into doing something for those that really would've preferred TPP, myself included. I've sort of come around to the decision not to have TPP gameplay, but since there's a character creator, and an actual character model that wears what you put on and such... I'd really like to have some kind of vanity feature that lets you see your character in the game world.

There's a lot of "immersion" being thrown around when talking about this, I personally don't think immersion is dependent on perspective at all, but the world itself. Cyberpunk's Night City is really impressive and impactful, but I don't think it's particularly atmospheric. Atmosphere is what makes a game immersive, no matter the perspective.

Is anyone surprised that you can't comment on the article about Crazy Rich Asians?

Doubling down on the agenda, even though it's literally losing you money at this point. Wow.

Companies aren't people. Sell entertainment, not propaganda - you fools.

@mistervulpes:

Well, "half a dozen whingers" is quite a misrepresentation. Feedback is feedback. You wouldn't say that people with the gene that makes cilantro taste like soap are simply whiney children. If you're giving them food with cilantro, it will not be enjoyable to them.

Now, it is not *my* comparison argument, it is one that others have made. I tried to follow through with the logic, but I suppose I may not have been clear enough in explaining my point.

When people reacted negatively to the FPP announcement, other fans responded with "CDPR doesn't need to make a futuristic Witcher-game". And then that community of fans also drew paralells to Deus Ex, since there are similarities in presentation - both being at least cyberpunk-ish FPP games with conversation systems that are TPP.

I didn't mean anything about gameplay mechanics, I was trying to talk specifically about player perspective. Gameplay in FPP and TPP are of course very different, but it was not my point.

Yes, these fans are saying that you shouldn't expect The Witcher. They are however clearly saying that you should expect something similar to Deus Ex.

What I'm trying to convey here is a bit too complex and tedious for me to type out in exact and clear reasoning, and that's probably not *that* interesting to you anyway - but I do hope you understand what I mean a bit better. Sorry that I responded with half an essay.

Well, I hear very different things about how far along they actually are. But yeah, I wouldn't expect full TPP support at this point. Some manner of it, was what I was hoping for. If that is like a feature where you can inspect your character in the world on the fly, maybe being able to walk at most. Would be a cool vanity feature, if anything.

I've slightly come around to the idea of a FPP RPG, but if they've listened to the feedback and have some manner of TPP-mode to show off - that would be awesome.

It's kind of funny to me how often you see people saying "why did people expect it to be like The Witcher?" and then in the same breath compare it to Deus Ex. Doesn't make sense. Why should it be similar to Deus Ex instead? I mean, if Deus Ex is what it's being compared to, why shouldn't it be different from Deus Ex, just like it "should" be different from The Witcher? It's almost as if people immediately started thinking "if it's fantasy it can be TPP, anything else gets FPP and if you don't have absolute faith in a company for some reason, I will REEEEEEE".
