Thanks for the replies everyone. I think I'll be getting a Wii U next week. I really want to take advantage of the free game deal with MK8 without spending an arm and a leg, so even if I need to get the gamepad later it works out.

@JonChaoZ: I'm 90% sure Mario Kart 8 can, since my GF can play split/screen with me. I would double check, but I'm saying YES, Mario Kart 8 can be played with Pro Controller only (oh and by the way, it's pretty great.
Do you just not like the Gamepad? I have to admit, for certain games I find it clunky, but I actually like it for a lot of things now that I'm getting used to it more and more
Honestly it's because I'm a cheap bastard. I may have the opportunity to get just the console in the near future. I know some features of the system absolutely need the gamepad, but if I can just have the option to play a few games for now, I'd buy the gamepad later online.
I think the gamepad is pretty cool but should just be optional in the grand scheme of things, just like the wii remote on the wii and how it was mandatory. But atleast the wii remote was much cheaper for Nintendo to make/sell.
Thanks. Has anyone tested this with Mario Kart 8?
I know there are plenty of games that offer the wii remote and other control settings as alternatives to the gamepad, but what games actually require you to have the gamepad connected to the console to play them?
I know there are some that don't need it like Super Mario 3D world, and some that do absolutely need it like Nintendo Land. And from what I've heard with Pikmin 3, even if you decide to go with the wiimote+nunchuck setting you need the gamepad connected.
What about Mario Kart 8, DK Tropical Freeze, etc? I would appreciate if some Wii U owners would test this out.
That PSU you linked is more than enough for any single card setup.Alright so it looks like I need to hold off a bit until I can upgrade my motherboard, CPU, GPU, and RAM. I really hope 850W is enough, I like my PSU :P
Can you guys recommend me some parts that I should look into getting?

[QUOTE="JonChaoZ"]Plenty of games will see benefit from more than 4GB of RAM. Opera, Planetside 2 and a few other light programs had my memory usage over 8GB, the other day.If you're using a 64-bit OS than you could benefit from another 4gb of RAM. It might not do a whole lot for your gaming but more RAM will always make your OS happy.
I feel like if you upgrade your video card any further your CPU will bottleneck whatever you upgrade to. I'd say either wait a little till you can re build or upgrade to an 8 core cpu.C_Rule
It seems like just yesterday people were saying 4gb of RAM was more than you needed (lol).
Might as well upgrade to 8, memory's cheap.
I would personally run the 2700 at stock for now until you get your AC fixed. :P
That being said, gaming won't stress your CPU enough to reach those temperatures, and even those are in acceptable range.

If you do some hunting around on Newegg you could probably do a similar rig for almost 150 dollars less. If you're confident enough in yourself to build your own or know a guy who can help you, then build your own. For what it is though, Digital Storm looks pretty good.
As far as a windows liscense goes, thats pretty much the best you can do (legally anyways).
The 700 series isn't completely out yet so they're in no rush to lower the price. Personally, I just use ebay if I'm going a few gens back (I did that with my 560ti).
