Jason's right. Sony needs to watch what they say. Who'd have thought 1 year ago that Microsoft had a chance at really hurting Sony? Or that the then "revolution" would be running on basically 'cube hardware, but would nevertheless steal e3 (and a hell of a lot of buzz since then)? Reminds me of my gut predictions about the ds vs. psp. 'Oh nintendo, you're doomed! Sony just shrunk the ps2 down into a handheld, and the best you guys can come up with is an n64 with 2 screens? Here sony, at least use some ky." Well, we're seeing how that battle is turning out. It goes to show how little we can actually predict about the future of the videogame market. By now I've learned not to write off a company just based on hardware, or the outcome of the last round. Things are way too volatile in this biz. So I'm not going to hop on the "PS3 is doomed" bandwagon. Yeah, the low yields are bad news for Sony, but a lot can change. All we can do is watch and see what happens.

1. Spore (yeah, it's not out yet, but I'll go out on a limb and assume it'll be the most interesting game ever) 2. World of Warcraft (I played the trial, and decided that I'd rather have a life then get into this game. Without the possibility of a life though, WoW soungs like a fine alternative) 3. Final Fantasy Tactics (never played it, but if half of this game's rep is for real, then it ought to be all I'd need for at least a few years of my sad, lonely desert island existence) 4. Steam (sure, I'm kind of cheating on this one, but screw it, I'm stuck on a damn island. If I could only dl one steam game though, it'd be CS: Source. Maybe now I'll have the time to regain my 1337ness from back in high school) 5. Jagged Alliiance 2 (God, why can't they make a sequel to this one? The simple look of the game belies its incredible depth. I think I'd starve to death before I stopped having fun with this game)
