You should try any of the Castlevania games they're both really good.Custom Robo Arena,Starfox Command,Lunar Knights,and Metroid Prime Hunters just to name a few others.
Since you say you like the old school games I thought I would suggest Mariokart DS.Loads of fun plus you can play wi-fi with a router or nintendo usb connector.They're also hotspots you can go to that let you play wi-fi all over the country not to mention if you had a gameboy advance you can play those on your DS as well.
I don't think so.Spectrobes was ok but the wi-fi is about useless and as a whole the game could've been put together a lot better.Pokemon has been out for a while so they have the advantage since they know what their fans and what they want.If you've ever played Spectrobes it is'nt a bad game, it just feela like they rushed it.
I'm 25 and I play my DS more than any platform.The DS has a lot of good games like Metroid Prime Hunters, Castlevania:Portrait of Ruin,Starfox Command,Custom Robo Arena,and you also have the new Pokemon games on the way.You should get a DS you won't regret it.
